We are Jonathan and Joanne Encarnacion, a husband and wife photography team. Encarnacion Photography is a boutique wedding studio that specializes in weddings and awesomeness. We only take a select amount of weddings each year and we would love to be a part of your destination wedding! When people have asked us to describe our work, the words that we think of is lighthearted, fun, and full of life

. We both have different styles, but fused together we are able to create a very unique and complete story of your day coming from different points of views, one of the reasons why we are AWESOME!! We love photographing couples celebrating their marriage with family and friends. It's such a huge honor to be a part of someone's lives and being able to document it for them to share with generations to come. We love what we do simply because we have so much passion for people in love. It's been a belief of ours that love can help anyone through any struggle in life. Afterall, its the first emotion we were ever taught in life.

We had plans to do their engagement session at Filoli. They ended up being sold out on ticketed entries so we had to improvise.

I stopped at this location on my own for a sunset in the past, a vista point off of 280, and always thought how pretty it’d be to photograph someone here on this bench.

I appreciate Anoli and Ryan’s ability to be flexible with plans and for their trust in what I envisioned.

Looking forward to their wedding this year!

Thank you! You’ve all made me happy like the two slices of pizza in front of me here.

I am so grateful for all of you and your continued support. 2024 brought me the opportunity to reconnect with some very old clients, make new friends, and being a witness to a handful of lovely heart filling celebrations.

Another summer gone, another fall here. While it is unbelievably hot in the Bay Area at the moment, going through some of these photographs from last years fall mini sessions reminded me that in about a month and half, the color in trees will begin to turn and leaves will begin to fall to the ground.

Year after year I am blessed to reconnect with returning friends, returning clients, as I get a brief glance into their lives in a 30 minute window to see how their kids have grown, the dynamic in family interaction changes, and how the expression of love for one another evolves.

As a parent to a 20 and 14 year old I have experienced first hand bringing life into this world. The growth of an infant to the playful carefree nature of a toddler. I know the feeling of being the center of a child’s world and the feeling of what seems like distance growing as they mature and explore who they are as individuals. One thing remains the same though, and that is the love that I have for my kids.

It’s always an honor to be allowed into your space and photograph your family’s evolution, even if it is a short 30 minutes together. I’m grateful that I get to photograph your family for you at this stage in your lives and I know you will cherish these photos as you all experience seasons in life together.

Oh just that moment when Jonathan jumped into the pool during a wedding reception to capture the flash mob dance of the bride and her entire bridal party surprising the groom. A moment we will never forget.

This may or may not have happened on the way to the wedding we shot last week. To some this may be weird, to us, it's love.
