I’m my opinion, a Company’s Culture is the heartbeat of the organization. It keeps the good ones, and forces the others to either level up, or kick rocks.

Looking up in those boxes at the Sandhills Stock Show Rodeo, Saturday Night, I saw 2 work families bonding with each other. Mind blown with the rough stock events, anxious with the timed events, and enjoying the company of their team. I’m not allowed up there in the boxes this year to learn your names or event take photos of you and your immediate families like I have in past years, but I still want to recognize you!

I hope you had a blast on Saturday Night!!

Looking forward to seeing who will be there Thursday Night!! 🤙🏾

Earlier today, young Brazilian bull rider Amadeu Campos Silva was involved in a terrible wreck at the Velocity Tour event in Fresno. He was transported to Community Regional Medical Center, where he passed away. Our heart breaks for Amadeu’s family and friends. At 22, he was a bull rider with a lot of promise, coming to the U.S. after competing in PBR Brazil in 2017 and 2018 to pursue his dream of a World Championship. In 2019, he was runner up at the Brazilian Finals and that year, made his U.S. debut on the Velocity Tour in Edinburg, Texas; 11 months later he made it to the premier series in Manchester, N.H. At the end of the 2020 season, one of Amadeu’s life dreams was accomplished: he rode in the PBR World Finals. This season, on the Velocity Tour, he was again angling to rise to the elite level. Amadeu was a rising star in our sport; a cowboy with so much potential on and off the dirt. The entire PBR and western sports family extend our thoughts, prayers, and heartfelt condolences to Amadeu’s family and friends. Please say a prayer tonight for them, and may Amadeu’s soul eternally rest in peace.

He didn’t quit and flatten out the entire ride. He kissed the gate there towards the end, but this out will be a part of history for a long time and that 48 bull score is well deserved and earned…

February 3, 2009, I had just gotten off the phone with my best friend who was fighting bulls and Kinda goin to college in Cisco. He was coming home for the weekend and we were gonna sit down and get a game plan together to start our own stock contracting business.

Before we could meet up, he was killed in a motor cycle wreck on February 8th.

I pushed Rodeo and anything having to do with it away for a decade, but after sitting at his grave site on his birthday, I felt embarrassed and ashamed.

Why?

The best way to honor my buddy, would be to double down and get after it, not run away.

So...this is me, doubling down and getting after it. This is me no longer hiding or running.

If you knew Cody Lynn Morris then you know he always had a cigarette on him (mostly) and lived with no regrets.

My tribute to my buddy was born January 2021.

Extremely grateful for my buddy Dwayne Sanders for this opportunity to live out this dream!
