Red Shot Pony If you have seen us live... You know what we are about. Red Shot Pony is a four piece genre-blending cover band that is best described in one word: Versatility.

We want to put our twist on "songs you've probably heard before" and have you leaving the show with a smile in your ears!!!! Red Shot Pony has been part of the local Ogden/SLC music scene since 2005. Through the years they have grown tremendously and now their set includes an eclectic mix from many styles. Each member of the band has years of experience in working bands, and brings that profession

alism, know-how and high energy performance when it's time to hit the stage. Whether it is Pop, Rock, Country, Blues, Funk, or Reggae "The Pony" can do it all and loves it all. If it is a good song, they will do it and they will do it well, regardless of the genre. They can do more of one style and less of another depending on the venues needs but no matter what the style, every show is a mission to get the crowd on their feet, caught up in their good time and make them dance all night! Every band member is individually talented and they all have the ability to sing, adding to the overall variety as well as making for great harmonies. They all come from a different background, which gives their overall sound a depth and variety that influences not only their choice of cover music but their original songs as well. In honor of Valentine's Day, we thought that this would be a great song to share. It really is 'All The Small Things' that makes relationships work, right? Being in Red Shot Pony is a love-love relationship. It's pretty cool how much we all love each other!

Our Story

Red Shot Pony is a four piece genre-blending cover band that is best described in one word: Versatility. Red Shot Pony has been part of the local Ogden/SLC music scene since 2005. Through the years they have grown tremendously and now their set includes an eclectic mix from many styles. Each member of the band has years of experience in working bands, and brings that professionalism, know-how and high energy performance when it's time to hit the stage. Whether it is Pop, Rock, Country, Blues, Funk, or Reggae "The Pony" can do it all and loves it all. If it is a good song, they will do it and they will do it well, regardless of the genre. They can do more of one style and less of another depending on the venues needs, but no matter what the style, every show is a mission to get the crowd on their feet, caught up in their good time and make them dance all night! Every band member comes from a different background, which gives their overall sound a depth and variety that influences not only their choice of music but their style as well.

The band includes the husband and wife vocal duo, Tom and DeAnn Sorensen. Tom is the heart of the band, he holds everything together with his rhythmic bass. DeAnn plays both electric and acoustic guitar. Local legend Zach Trevino from Austin Texas is on lead guitar with his tasty licks. Rounding out the rhythm section is Chris Stilling on drums bringing a solid foundation for the music to flow through.

Every summer they play what they call their "Summer Tour" which starts in June and doesn't end until September, with them playing every weekend, sometimes even playing multiple venues on the same day. Shows include the Eden Balloon Fest, Layton Taste Of the Town, Harvest Moon, Snow Basin, The HAFB Salute, The Ogden Rotary, The Ogden Country Club and the list goes on. They do all of this while still maintaining a regular circuit with the night clubs. You can find Red Shot Pony regularly at a variety of bars around the area The Funk'n Dive, The Peppermill, The Iron Horse, Piper Down, Brewskis, Club 90, The Outlaw, and The Lighthouse, to name a few.
