Well, I had a little break. I'm happy to announce I'll be playing a set the first weekend of October at Evolution Immersive Arts Festival . I'm excited to flex that glorious SNSTR SOUND E-5 rig! This is just the line up for that stage, and there are multiple stages loaded with so much talent. I hope to see you there 💚👻

Ahead of the festival, I want to talk about some of my favorite sunrise tunes, specifically dubstep. Chances are, if you've heard me play a dubstep sunrise set, you've heard me play a few of these. They all mean so much to me, and some of the greatest moments I've ever had playing tunes in front of a crowd had been playing some of these.

I'd like to start with one of the greatest vocal dubstep tunes ever written: Afterglow by Phaeleh ft Soundmouse.

The first time I had the chance to play a sunrise set was at a spot outside of Moab that I was blessed to play at again last month. A good friend had just died, and he was supposed to play the fest. Some of us canceled to go to services for him, and others chose to go through with the show to honor him in the way we thought he would have wanted.

This song was playing as the sun broke the horizon, and I turned to grab my beer and saw the landscape I hadn't seen yet. We arrived in the dark, so I had only seen what was lit up by the lights of the show. I broke down and sobbed right there at the decks and fam immediately swooped me for hugs. I'll never forget that moment, as long as I live.

This one means a lot to me, not just because of memories, but the undeniable beauty of the tune. It's nearly 14 years since it came out, and it will continue to get played in those beautiful moments for many years.

I'm playing Desert Reverie festival in Moab this weekend, with an absolutely stacked line up of live bands and DJs. Which just so happens to be in the most beautiful place I have ever had the pleasure of playing tunes at.

Next weekend, I get the honor of playing a show with my absolute favorite d&b producer Etherwood, in SLC.

Seems like May 2024 is going to be a month to remember. It all seems like a dream, to be honest. I am eternally grateful to the people who come to see me play, the promoters who give me the chance to do what I love, and everyone who has ever supported me on this crazy music journey. I don't have the words to express how much joy I am feeling right now.

Etherwood is a drum & bass producer known not only for his incredible musical talent, but also the emotional element that defines his catalog. The vast majority of the vocals on his work are his own. When I say he is my favorite producer of electronic music, I don't say that lightly. The first mix I ever recorded started with a song off his first album. I've been playing that album, and tunes from every release of his since, every chance I get. I am honored beyond words to be playing a show with him in a few weeks.

If you've ever been there while I played a sunrise set, a mellow late night set, or a liquid D&B set, you've heard me play his tunes. If you aren't familiar with his music, I'll post some of my favorites in the comments.

This show is more than a big deal to me. It feels like a dream. I hope you'll join us for a night of fantastic drum & bass, and you'd better come say hi if you do. 💚

I am elated to announce that in a few short weeks, I'll have the honor of playing a show in SLC with my absolute favorite D&B producer, ETHERWOOD. I've been playing his tunes for a decade now, starting with my first gig. If you've ever seen me DJ liquid D&B or mellow halftime, it's guaranteed you've heard me play his tunes. To say this is a big deal for me is a massive understatement. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity, and I'll be digging deep from my collection of liquid to bring only the choicest tunes. The support line up is insanely talented, and I am honored to be among local legends. I hope you'll join us on May 10th for a lovely night of beautiful D&B.

What a start to the festival season! I am incredibly excited to be playing this one with friends at an breathtaking location that is dear to me.
