Another World Championship competition is in the books! This past weekend I represented the USA 🇺🇸 in the Hyrox World Championship Fitness Competition in Las Vegas. I competed in the female 30-34 age group with the pro weights for only the second time. I ended up 14th out of 25 in my age group and 69th out of 156 women total. More importantly, I shaved off 4 minutes from my time in April. I love this competition because it is one of the most difficult events I compete in. Pushing yourself to the upper limits for almost 90 minutes takes perseverance and grit. You learn a lot in those moments of true exhaustion. I know I have areas to work on to improve my performance. That's a fun part too though: we are never "done." We can always push ourselves. As always in my post-competition mindset, I am motivated and ready to tackle new challenges and new training.
Side notes: I was the 6th fastest out of the 156 badass ladies on the farmer's carry event!! Each kettlebell weighs 53 pounds.
This was the first time ever for me to compete in just a sports bra. I figured the indoor venue at a world championship event was the best place. I'm pretty sure everyone struggles in some way with body image, and I am no different. I was happy I finally felt confident enough.
Sights are now set on the Austin Spartan weekend this weekend!!!
