Hello Wildflower Friends,

I know it’s been some time since I’ve posted. I had hoped to be posting today to announce subscriptions would be starting, but unfortunately I’m officially calling this season as a loss.

The loss of my mother earlier this year was devastating, and between dealing with her estate and the grief, I lost several months of the season to depression.

In addition, the multiple storms, and the weeks of high temperatures have just been too much to come back from. While I wasn’t able to get some of the flowers I planned to plant started, I did spend many hours planting a beautiful selection of dahlias I had been curating during the off season. However,
the storm last week took out all of the dahlias that I was waiting on, along with the sunflowers, zinnias and other filler flowers.

I am so sorry to those of you that were looking forward to flower subscriptions again this year. I spent so much time and money getting ready for this season and had some beautiful new flowers and varieties I was excited to show you all. But sometimes things don’t go as planned…

I hope you’ll consider sticking with me for next season as I will be coming back next year. I’m also excited to announce I was approved for a grant and will be installing an irrigation system over the next few months, which will help to produce larger, healthier flowers (with less water waste)!

Thank you to everyone for your support during these challenging times and I hope you’ll stick around and give me another chance in 2025.

Hello Flower Friends,

I wanted to post an update as I haven’t been very active recently. My mother unexpectedly passed away in February so the past few weeks have been difficult.

I still plan to grow flowers for the 2024 season for bouquets and subscriptions, but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get my ranunculus and anemones in the ground at the right this time year. However, I will have tulips mid-April thru mid-May and then my normal season should start sometime in June.

But, I’ve got some new roses coming this spring that I’m very excited about and I’m trying a few new varieties of zinnias, sunflowers, dahlias and lisianthus, so that will be fun to see how they turn out.

I guess that’s it. It’s been a rough few months but I got my green thumb from my mom and she loved the garden so I’m going to keep going… My mom would’ve been 64 next Monday, happy birthday week in heaven, mom!
