I love how the family is making such a special, unforgettable moment for the couple. I watch so many brides/couples bend over backwards to impress their families and friends at their wedding, but rarely do I see the guests going above and beyond to bless the couple. This should become a new trend.

🌟 How I Cracked the Code to Planning a Stress-Free, Flawless Wedding Day! 🌟

Hey, beautiful brides-to-be! 💍✨

After seeing so many posts from struggling brides and hearing countless real-life wedding day nightmares from friends, I made it my mission to prevent wedding stress and catastrophes. Over the past 12 years, I've helped brides achieve their PERFECT DREAM wedding day, and even helped them save $3k-$5k when they are on a tight budget. Here's how it all started and what I’ve learned along the way.

Back in 2012, a friend flew me to Wyoming to coordinate, emcee, and officiate her wedding in her family barn! 🏡 We turned an old storage area into a DREAM venue. This was my first wedding coordination experience and the start of my wedding & event planning business. Never despise small beginnings!

Before I coordinated my first wedding, I took some online wedding planning courses to gain a certification, but didn’t truly understand all the tricks of the trade until I fell on my face several times through trial and error, and with HANDS-ON experience.

During my first paid wedding gig (pink photo), 20 unexpected guests showed up to the reception with no available seats! 😱 Without my knowledge, the bride had underestimated the final headcount to save money, assuming 20% of guests wouldn’t show up. Spoiler alert: they all did!

With the bride and groom out taking photos, they were clueless to the chaos happening inside, and the 20 upset guests were all staring me down with the stink eye… I had to beg the caterer to prepare more food and convince the venue to squeeze in extra tables and chairs (fire code, anyone?).

Guests stood around for 30 minutes waiting for their seats, and the groom had to pay the difference to the venue/caterer in front of everyone. CRINGE! 😬

To make matters worse, a bridesmaid arrived late to find no seat next to her boyfriend, because the bride and groom hadn’t accounted for plus ones at the bridal party tables. I had to go table to table asking guests to switch seats until a sweet couple finally agreed to move. It’s a good thing I’m not a shy person…

And, there’s more! The bridesmaids ordered their dresses online and only tried them on for the first time in the bridal suite on the wedding day. ONE of the FIVE dresses was the WRONG color! With no time to fix it, one bridesmaid had to wear the mismatched dress. 😬

Did I mention the church where the ceremony took place had NO TOILET PAPER? I had to hunt down a hidden storage closet to restock all the stalls. Talk about a last-minute scramble that could have become a sticky situation! Pun intended - Ha!

Oh, and the DJ messed up the wedding party’s names during the grand entrance. It was a HOT mess! 🔥

These experiences, along with several others, taught me the CRUCIAL importance of clear communication and proper planning.

Amanda Jewel is my name, and events are my game. I'm a Nebraska girl, born and raised, but I spent 8 years between Las Vegas and Hollywood working in the entertainment industry as an actress and talent agent; it was there where I discovered my passion for weddings and event planning. Currently, I personally manage over 5,000 volunteers, clients and vendors each year in the nonprofit world as a volunteer and events management professional in Omaha, Nebraska.

Amanda Jewel Events is my baby, as is any event I manage. My goal is to take your wedding or event beyond your imagination and create memories your family, friends and colleagues will buzz about for years to come.
