🇬🇷OPA! 'Christmas in Greece' is officially ONE MONTH AWAY! 🎄 Save the date for November 23, 2019! Experience and taste the magical Christmas traditions and food of Greece, right here in Omaha! No passport required! ❗️PLEASE SHARE!❗️ ❄️Want to try something different this holiday season? Perhaps add some Greek spice to your holiday traditions? ✨Join the fun for homeade savory meals, pastries, beverages, live music, folk dancing, marketplace with Yiayia’s (Grandma’s) attic, a visit from St. Nicholas, and a celebration of Greek holiday customs. ❄️“Christmas in Greece” is celebrated with faith, food, fun, and “philoxenia” (Greek Hospitality). We encourage everyone to joyously taste favorites such as the oregano chicken with lemon sauce, the herbed lamb with fasolakia (Greek style beans), or Gyros, Greek style French Fries, and hot dogs, etc. For dessert, try a mouthwatering Baklava or Melomakarona (Greek Christmas cookie). These can be purchased, along with other pastries, as single items or in “Savor for Later” packages.
