Let’s Talk About Wedding Stress…💛
If your big day is just weeks or months away, and you're feeling a little (or a lot) stressed — I want you to know you're not alone. While this season should be full of joy and anticipation, it's completely normal to feel overwhelmed at times. Planning a wedding is a big deal — emotionally, mentally, and logistically.
So how do you ease that stress and reconnect with the magic of it all? Here are a few tips to help walk you through!
1. Take a Deep Breath. Really.
The most important reminder I can give you is this: your wedding is about you and your person, standing side-by-side and saying “I do.” That’s the heart of it. If you have your partner, your officiant, and a couple of witnesses — you’re already there. Everything else is just beautiful, meaningful detail.
2. Step Away from Wedding Mode.
When it all starts to feel like too much, give yourselves permission to hit pause. Go do something that has nothing to do with planning — a cozy night at home, a favorite dinner spot, a walk in the park, even just a shared playlist and a car ride. Anything that brings you two back to center and reminds you why you're doing this in the first place: each other.
3. Revisit Your Venue.
If you can, go walk through your venue and envision your day unfolding there — picture the laughter, the love, the joy in the room. I’ve seen it time and time again: couples leave those walkthroughs feeling renewed and excited all over again!
4. Find Your Day-Of Anchor.
If you don’t have a wedding planner or coordinator, I highly recommend finding someone to fill that role — someone you trust, who’s calm, confident, and organized. A professional if preferred, but if not in the budget, select someone who will have your back, handle the behind-the-scenes, and make sure your vision comes to life. (Pro tip: don’t choose your mom — she deserves to soak in every moment without responsibility!)
Your vendors will help too — trust them, lean on them, and let go where you can.
At the end of the day, your wedding is about love — and that love will shine through no matter what. Give yourself grace. Take care of your heart. And know that it’s all going to come together in the most beautiful way.
You’ve got this. And I’m cheering you on every step of the way. ✨🖤
