This dress....
It's everything.
I have been blessed to work with amazing brides and gorgeous dresses. Really, each dress finds their bride and I am always in awe.
Lately, I can't get THIS dress out of my mind. To put it mildly, I am obsessed.
Nicole wanted a classic, timeless wedding. Our inspiration images, for her wedding day, were taken from Princesses Grace & Catherine. When she found this dress , I knew she had a winner.
To make the dress her own, Nicole added a lace bolero and a detachable bow, which we added during the reception. With these little modifications, she created three separate looks. Add a custom veil and she had a stunning 4th look.
Pair the dress with a petite floral bouquet and you have a dream made for a Princess.

The warm Spring days have us dreaming about love, happiness and soft, romantic flowers that go on for days.

These flowers lined the bridal aisle and were designed to be reused at the reception on the stage.

Think about ways to repurpose your ceremony flowers, it helps with costs and reduces waste.

The baraat! It is during this procession of the groom, his parents, relatives and friends, that I wish I was a guest. Such merrymaking, drums and joy. If you haven't seen one, get yourself an invite. It is so fun. The tradition was born when people would go from one town to another to get married. They would go and stay in the bride's hometown for over two weeks during with time the various rituals would take place, culminating in bringing back the bride to the groom's house.

Alex rode in an roadster. We have also used white horses to carry the groom.

We have been blessed enough to plan a number of cultural weddings. We even have a few more coming up in 2023. Growing up, I was always fascinated with how other countries celebrated the holidays. That fascination transferred over to weddings as well. There is something so beautiful and refreshing about time honored cultural wedding customs. It has been my honor to help these couples navigate a modern wedding with traditional customs. Could Somi have been a more beautiful bride? She was perfect.💕

Michele & James' guests loved the concept of leaving a voice message. We saw many guests go back for a second message. Long after the wedding is over, you will be able to hear your guests' voices during the joyous event.

Let's talk about these plates! Michele wanted a refined dinner table to sit at during dinner. She also wanted to make sure the table flowed with the natural, rustic atmosphere at Dismal River Club. The blue flower bone china fit perfectly with adding a feminine touch amid masculine elements such as a copper charger and rustic wood table. We had so much fun working with Tracy Diehl Events to finalize this look.

With the holiday weekend upon us, we thought we’d feature A welcome bag of all welcome bags. Michele and James wanted to really welcome their guests to The Dismal River Club for their destination wedding weekend. Guests were treated to a custom linen bag with a custom map of the club, a bottle of wine, playing cards, golf balls, a blanket for the cold nights, umbrella and the family's famous Snickerdoodle cookies in a bag with the recipe. Guests loved the personal touch.💕

We've heard the prairie whispers its beauty. After Michele and James' wedding Dismal River Club] we believe this to be true. There is no more perfect location for a romantic, peaceful destination wedding. Michele wanted bright, vivid colors among the natural Western Nebraska palette. She wanted to let the venue and landscape whisper elegantly without massive alterations. We were happy to oblige.💕

When it comes to cake, I don't mess around. 😂 Believe it or not, it can be intimidating to cut the cake and feed it to each other in front of a couple hundred guests. I am here to help reduce the intimidation. Great photographers will stop for a moment and show you how to do it. Our goal is to free up the photographer's time so they can capture images, so we will show you how to cut the cake. I love that ninety-six oak caught this moment. Also, we always make sure there is a plate, two forks and a napkin. Why? Because having sugar frosting on your hands all night can be sticky. Using a fork to feed each other makes for a clean photo and reduces the mess.

Little details matter. Even the card box and guest book should be done beautifully. When it comes to these two items, we prefer keep them simple and elegant. Jessica managed just that, with a traditional card box and guest book. We are seeing a trend for couples to do a traditional signature guest book. Years to come you can look through it and see the writing of your friends and family. It is a little piece of them, you will have for ever.
