The centerpiece of the farm is the white, gambrel roofed two-story timber-framed barn – its stunning vaulted interior has hosted barn dances, concerts, wedding receptions and ceremonies for years. Also on site are open lawns, gardens, paths to the spring-fed pond, the converted former farm stand, accessible restrooms and parking.

The light here steals the show, but also let’s take a moment to acknowledge that on either side of our current garage are two of the most spectacular trees on property: what local arborists tell us are a 50+ year white birch and even older butternut (white walnut). Both are relatively short lived trees so we’re taking great care with these mature, specimen beauties even as we remain busy planting the next generation.

A new year in so many ways. Exactly 4 years ago today we made the long 14 hour drive to take possession of the farm. When we arrived, the kitchen counter was filled with coffee, bread and chocolate covered cherries - a first sign from of the warm welcome ahead. Since then, the project list has been long and the community stronger than we ever imagined. We’re hoping many more years here - at least one for every hour of that first drive.

Rainy day view from where it's toasty warm inside the barn...stay dry out there.

Sound on! 🕊️ The early morning is one of the most beautiful and relaxing times at the farm. We have yet to see it happen, but we'd love if someone had a traditional wedding breakfast! Sharing ideas and helping our guests brainstorm exactly the kind of event they want to host is always the most fun! We get to hear new and interesting ideas while sharing our favorite parts of this beautiful property.

We love our pollinator guests on the farm! (Even if they're a little bit blurry...) It's all a part of the ecosystem we are trying our best to preserve and support. 🐝 Stay tuned for more springtime updates!

Turned a corner this week working with the @bcs_america tractor - some of our progress is slow, some of it's fast, and all of it is heading towards 🌻 succession planting 🌻 This is a test year: we're trying out five different varieties from buttercup yellow to bold, golden blooms and have counted back the days from each wedding with the hopes that there will be sunflowers to add sunshine to the celebrations ahead. #tractor #successionplanting #sunflowers #farming #farmlife #weddingplanning #rusticwedding #weddinggoals
