Steed Entertainment's 10 week championship game went down last Thursday (August 28th), and we had quite the comeback for our new champion. She barely made it in as an alternate and her chip stack was low, but she fought back, and little by little she chipped away at Big Sug's lead to bring home her second championship and her first bracelet. We want to congratulate Steed Entertainment's neeeeeeeewwwwww Chip and a Chair Champion, Charlotte L.!!!!! Great work Charlotte!!!

If you want to throw your chips in the ring and have a chance at a bracelet then join us on Wednesday nights at the Wooden Nickel II for some free poker! Games are at 6:00 (you can get in until 6:45) and 9:00 (you can get in until 9:30). We would LOVE to have you join us. You can play one week, or you can play all ten.

After week 10 of 10 (August 26th, 2025) of the "Chip and a Chair Invitational", we saw me get another win to lock up the 10 week leaderboard, while Nikki T. went from an alternate not making the tourney to being locked in! Nikki is always at the final table so it was great to see her get another win and make this tourney! Mike Bu. put up great fights in both games to brig home the 2nd place ribbons for both games.

The 10 week championship game is tomorrow evening (August 28th) at 7:00 pm SHARP. If you arrive at 7:01 you will not have a seat available. It's one of the rules that we stick to on tournament night. Please arrive around 6:45 to allow for seat drawing and champions entrance. I look forward to seeing who will bring home the next championship bracelet!

After week 9 of 10 (August 20th, 2025) of the "Chip and a Chair Invitational", we saw Mike Bra. (Wild Card Willie) get his first win since joining our Wednesday night crew. He has had many final tables, and a couple second places, but he finally got that win! Nice work Mike, we are all pumped for you! He had to take down Gary Fo. to get the win and that is no easy feat. In the other game we saw Tim K. ensure that he would defend his championship as a qualified individual and not just under a championship provisional. To get that win Tim K. had to take down Darin P. which is a feat in itself as well. W would like to honor Darin P. and Gary Fo. with the second place ribbons this week.

After week 8 of 10 (August 13th, 2025) of the "Chip and a Chair Invitational", we saw Ryan B. put on an absolute clinic by winning both games and three...yes that is three bounties (I love the picture with both trophies). If it wasn't for C.J. P. winning a bounty then Ryan B. would have had a clean sweep. You would think that with that kind of performance Ryan B. would also be taking home second place ribbons, but luckily for us there were some others that won those. We would like to honor Mark H. and Rob C. with the second place ribbons this week.

Mike Bu. won't let the lead go without a fight. In the first game we saw mother/daughter battle as Dar. A. won the battle against Val in a battle for the ages! After week 5 of 10 (July 23rd, 2025) of the "Chip and a Chair Invitational", we saw a pretty cool final table in the first game. I'm not going to lie, I should have won the first game! The final four had me up against Charlotte L., Val J., and Dar A. who, if you don't know, are all close relations. I had a huge chip lead, and I played a part in taking out two of the final three, but Dar A. put together some crazy comeback and took me down. Nice work Dar! In the second game we saw Ryan B. get hand after hand AFTER hand AFTER HAND!!! He couldn't miss and he was making the right calls when he needed to. We would like to honor Travis H. and Charlotte L. with the second place ribbons this week.

After week 4 of 10 (July 16th, 2025) of the "Chip and a Chair Invitational", we saw Big Sug start to run away with this leaderboard. Another win and two bounties. We need to pick it up or his tournament starting stack will be crazy! I want to thank Darin P. for running the first game for me as I couldn't be there, and I heard that I missed quite the battle between Big Sug and Tim K. for the first game. For the second game, I came in and lucked into a few large pots. Mike Bra. probably played better cards than me, but I just got them when it mattered. After week 3 of 10 (July 9th, 2025) of the "Chip and a Chair Invitational", we saw a first time winner. We haven't had one of those in awhile and it was great to see! Josiah L. played some SOLID cards and fought off a nice comeback attempt from Ryan B. Josiah has only played with us a few times, but we loved having him while he was in town visiting! Come back anytime Josiah! In the second game we saw "Second Place Sug", bring home the trophy by sending Mike Bu. home with the ribbon this week.
