Last night was one of the sweetest nights ever. Every single vendor talked about what a great couple this bride and groom were to work with. Family and friends came together to witness Diana and Steven marry. We had the best time planning this wedding to reflect the bride’s original style. She is absolutely beautiful inside and out and made everyone feel so welcome. The groom wanted all her wishes to be fulfilled.

The day began in a very stormy way, and Diana was very calm and said whatever happened would be fine. Everyone would be together to celebrate. And the skies cleared and the bride got her ceremony outside, officiated by Dan Rush. Dan Rush was also seen helping to secure the arch that wanted to lean back. Seems he can do anything. Wade, ring security delivered the rings. As rings were exchanged, the bride was challenged in getting the ring on her finger and entertained her guests as she won the battle.

Cocktail hour was beautiful and the guests enjoyed drinks and passed apps and a water view. Guests watched as the live artist worked on a portrait of the ceremony. Inside the gallery, dinner was served and enjoyed by all. The wedding cake was cut and witnessed by flower girl Dorothy. And then tables were broken down to allow for a bigger dance floor and the dance party began. Fun was had by all. And then the grand exit concluded the night with cold sparks and a vintage 1958 Cadillac get-away car.

Our very best wishes to the new Mr. and Mrs. Beaty! 🎉🎊

A beautiful night came to pass at Lindsee and Jon’s wedding. I will miss talking with Lindsee and Dana on our Zoom calls because sometimes you get to develop an especially nice relationship with a bride and her mom as you plan. All of the plans came together on what came to be a beautiful night after some pretty big storms passed through earlier that day. I am learning to trust Katrina who runs the wedding venue when she declares, “It doesn’t rain at my weddings!”

Lindsee and Jon started out as friends at school, according to their friend Neil who officiated the ceremony. And obviously grew closer! Family and friends came from all over the country to witness the wedding. The crowd was great and enjoyed a delicious meal from Culinary Productions, Inc.- lots of great comments on the food. And then under a clear topped tent, the Powerhouse Band kept people on the dance floor all night long. More passed appetizers came out for a “midnight” snack. And then the bride and groom departed to cold sparks and Alabama shakers sending them off.

We wish you the very best because you deserve it Mr. ans Mrs. Towers💕

What a very special day we had celebrating Michael and Elizabeth. Michael and I served together in church, and we often worked weddings together. What a privilege to be able to serve him and his beautiful bride Elizabeth last night.

I can’t believe we planned for over a year, and I remember our very first cup of coffee at the Drowsy Poet. The plans came together beautifully. The bridal party and family were some of the most kind, generous and authentic people I have dealt with in quite some time. It shows how they returned the love Michael and Elizabeth shared with them.

It was a beautiful beach day as guests made their way to a stunning arch decorated with colorful tropical flowers, while a violin duet played. Brother in law Levi delivered a loving ceremony. A pirate ship even went by, complete with gunfire! As the couple kissed, the surrounding beach-goers and condos occupants cheered, along with the wedding guests.

The reception was a vision with white linens, gold chairs and more beautiful tropical flowers. Everyone danced the night away and it was fun watching people connect and visit. The catering staff gave some excellent customer service.

I sincerely love the new Mr. and Mrs. Van Pelt. Best wishes always.

Gracie and Trey united in marriage on a windy, pretty day. There were so many family and friends that came together to add special touches. They had friends of the family create a classic floral display both inside and outside, with a violin playing the processional down the aisle. The bride’s brother Dylan delivered a beautiful ceremony as Officiant. The bridal party had eleven attendants on both sides, along with flower girls and ring bearers that were front and center. Everyone loved one another and kept the Bride and Groom as the focus.

Everyone danced the night away to 2nd Groove Showband- highlighted by the addition of a sibling dance in the formalities. And they had some moves! Grilled cheese sandwiches were served as a “midnight snack”.

The bride exited in her mom’s wedding dress dress, a tradition among the sisters in the family. The groom arranged for a Rolls for their grand exit and off they went.

We wish the new Mr. And Mrs. Gerhardt the very best!

We can’t believe it is over. It was an honor and a privilege to be able to coordinate last night’s wedding. Since day one when I met the bride at our barre class and she called her mom to meet us right after barre class, I felt like I was basically brought into the family. The family’s hugs are second to none. But then from everyone that knows them, I find out this is just how they are.

The bride and groom met at Auburn and knew they had something special. Every time I had a planning meeting with Taylor and Sarah, she’d tell me how much she loved Brooks. I mean it. Every time.

And then they brought Dad, Grant into the planning mix. Grant does a “little planning” himself for his career. And we were off to the races.

Last night was an incredible night of people coming together from near and far, far and wide, to witness two beautiful people come together in marraige. The bridal party was an amazing help in executing everything and offering help and support all along the way. A sentimental touch was mom Sarah’s wedding dress cuff tied around the bridal bouquet.

The two officiants delivered a sweet ceremony in the middle of a gusty wind. But no rain! Cocktail hour spread all across the lawn with pockets of people happy to be together as Sweet Southern Strings had a piano performance inside and strings outside. The famous Kitty of Kitty’s Kafe knocked it out of the park with a broad range of entree items on the buffet, and an amazing dessert table. And then, to the tent! Dancing to the Park Band went on the rest of the night. At no time did it stop! The surprises continued thought the night until the couple left in a gorgeous vintage car, as their guests waved (mostly) Auburn shakers.

Best wishes and congratulations to a couple who is beautiful inside and out. We love the new Mr. And Mrs. Walton.

Sometimes it is special to be in the background and watch the love a family has for each other. I got to do a same day coordination for a church family. It’s especially nice because I got to coordinate the wedding of the older daughter, and now the older daughter was planning the younger daughter’s wedding. There was a special kind of love between these two sisters. They were so sweet they even put me and my assistant at a reserved table at the reception. I assure you this has never been done when we are working a wedding🤣.

This sweet couple has known each other a long time. It began as a supposed group date because they were young. However, strangely enough, each member of the group suddenly couldn’t make it to see the movie that night. Dad allowed it since it was a Christian movie. And the rest is history.

Best wishes to a very special couple that comes from a great family and made us feel like part of it.

12/03/2023

Our last wedding of the year was an example of beautiful priorities. The families planned an event to be remembered with custom touches that reflected them and their families. Never mind that all the Christmas parades in the area were being canceled because of thunderstorms. We had a clear topped tent for the dance party.
And it did rain. But the Lord allowed a break in the rain for the ceremony in front of the hand built arch the father of the groom made and the couple was anxious to marry in front of. And again he allowed a break for the couple to exit in a decorated boat with lights. The dedicated DJ and photographer battled raindrops to get the exit the couple wanted. What a great group of vendors we had the privilege of working with to make this day happen- with all its pivots. And what a supportive family to go with the flow.

The tropical flowers were exquisite. The cake, which their sweet aunt dropped off with much care and relief was both delicious and artistic. Mom of the bride made iced cookies for the dessert table, which did not last long- everyone wanted one. And…. The brother of the bride has a microbrewery and made the beer; and his wife designed the beer cans and koozies. And… on the back of the brides shoe, was a fabric flower from her mom’s bridal outfit. So many beautiful touches- All while the couple were remodeling their home!

We extend best wishes to the new Mr. And Mrs. Latour!

What an excellent wedding we had on Veteran’s Day weekend. Halley and Henry were united In marriage at the Coastal Arts Center Of Orange Beach. I should have known at the rehearsal how things were going to play out. We practiced twice- one for rain, one without. The couple understood what was important. Whatever happened, we would deal with.

Henry, was the most involved groom ever, and this was echoed by Katrina Brown-Anderson of the facility. We honestly had the best time planning this event. The family and bridal party was involved in just the right way. The flower crew showed up first thing that morning and the decor perfectly suited the couple. Not overdone. Stylish. Beautiful.

When it was time to walk down the aisle, the raindrops began to softly fall. Henry’s uncle, Davey Jones gave a sweet, intimate ceremony, asking the crowd to hang in there. The Best Man, Amir gave a reading, as did the Maid of Honor, Kylie. The delight on the Bride and Groom’s faces was enough light for everyone. The bridal party presented a picture of the venue as a surprise to the couple. Such a sweet moment.

Dinner was a delcious food truck dinner and the dance party moved outside. And they danced the rest of the night. The bride and groom changed and decided to jump in the water. Yep, the groom went all the way under.

We absolutely loved this bride and groom and their entire group. It was an absolute pleasure to be part of the day. Best wishes to the new Mr. & Mrs. Mitchell.

Last night was a special night in which several members of our church staff got to serve at the wedding of Lea and John. It was a beautiful, sunny October Saturday. Jeannette, the bride’s mom was so great to work with. It was an elegant evening full of classic good taste.

Jim Kinder officiated the ceremony in which the couples shared their own vows they had written. We were delighted that the unity candle stayed lit outside. 💕

Dinner was served inside the gallery and visiting began. The bridal party entered their reception down the staircase, and cut their cake with a lot of laughter. After the toasts, tables were broken down to make a dance floor, and the party started. Yes, we saw a conga line.

Our very best wishes to the new Mr. and Mrs. Muska. Now off to Italy!

After months of excellent planning with Beth Mackin, we saw a beautiful wedding day for Katey and Rett. This couple focused on what was important, each other. They were so laid back and didn’t sweat the small stuff. It was a gorgeous, windy October day.

Cathleen Carney, the bride’s godmother, officiated a very special ceremony. As guests came in, the scooped some sand in a container. Later in the ceremony, the grooms parents, and then the brides parents, scooped some sand in the container. Then the bride and groom. All of the contributions of sand were poured into a central container, coming together to witness the unity of the bride and groom.

The wedding party supported their bride and groom so well throughout the evening. Everyone was ready for dinner and drinks after the bride and groom entered the reception. After dances and toasts, everyone headed outside under the tent where the anniversary dance began. Not much urging was needed as the geoup danced the night away.

Our best wishes go out to the new Mr. and Mrs. Ackart.

What happens when a teen boy meets his person, a sweet teen girl, and invites her to have lunch “at the cool kids’ table”? The young girl sits with him and the rest his history. They invited other kids to sit at the cool kids table, and they all grew up together. They were good together and so when the time was right, the boy asked the girl to marry him, and she said yes.

Last night, Emily and Walker united in marraige, in front of their family and friends. It was a windy day, and the couple had to hold down the pedestal for their unity ceremony. Hair blew, veils flew, and the groom carefully pushed hair out of his bride’s eyes as needed. The officiant, Brian Littleton was a pro, and even provided assistance when the groom received the wedding ring on the non wedding ring hand. Such a sweet moment! The bridal party was a dream and so much help during the day as they honored the bride and groom. The parents did a prayer together during the ceremony. The bride’s grandfather blessed the meal.

Mom and Dad, Trudie and Chris, gave their daughter and new son in law an amazing day. Best wishes to the new Mr. and Mrs. Calvuzzi!

Last night, we had one of the prettiest weddings of the year. Kalli and John had some amazing family and bridal party love surrounding them. Kalli’s family has developed a tradition of doing the best decor by collecting things for and from each other. Kalli’s Aunt Holly and company arranged a gorgeous setting to celebrate the couple.

Their officiant Guy Souza performed the sweetest wedding ceremony. He and his wife “adopted” Kalli and John when they came to their church in Hawaii, where they met, and they saw and supported the couple as they came together and then knew they wanted to marry each other. John really wanted to be married in a church, and Kalli’s stepdad built one to fill that wish, as a background for the ceremony. The couple shared communion together, and there was a family blessing. The wedding guests were called to reach out a hand toward the couple to bless and support the marriage.

Good Southern style food was served to the guests complete with pulled pork, shredded chicken, collard greens, Succotash and cornbread muffins with Apple Butter. No one left hungry, and in fact, danced the evening away under a tent, under the stars.

The couple left in a shower of rose petals. Congratulations and best wishes to the new Mr. & Mrs. John DeWeese.

Sunday was a special day when Lauren and Robert United in marriage in front of family and friends. It was special because Lauren grew up in front of our eyes at church. Robert because of a history in church camp ministry is now coming to our church as the new Student Minister. I can’t wait to serve with him on staff.

So many friends came to support them, I was forever meeting beautiful connections like volleyball coaches, camp people. Church people, youth group students and adult leaders.

The ceremony was special as the couple elected to share communion together. Two of the bridesmaids sang during this moment. After the ceremony, the guests moved to a bistro area on the grounds for a drink and some appetizers until the couple was announced in to begin dinner.

This was a beautiful night to celebrate. Congratulations to Lauren and Robert.

Sometimes a good thing comes together so beautifully. Mikaela and Andrew were quite possibly the most calm and cool bride and groom I have worked with this year. Their wedding party was made up of pros. The rehearsal was the quickest I have ever done because they fell into place with ease and kept the priority of making it all about their bride and groom. They then enjoyed a rehearsal dinner together at Voyagers at Perdido Beach Resort.

We stayed on schedule the whole wedding day which is a miraculous and beautiful gift to a wedding planner.🤣

It was a beautiful day after a major heatwave. The family and guests were some of the nicest people we had the privilege of sharing the day with.

The bride just graduated from nursing school, fought off CoVid, and proceeded to finish her wedding vision. And she did it well.

The wedding was officiated by Rick Fenning whom the bride grew up with. Holly Howell, the bride’s mother gave her away on behalf of the family.

After a delicious taco bar was enjoyed, the group danced the night away and then the party bus picked up the bridal party to celebrate at an after party. Best wishes to Mikaela & Andrew Hanebuth.

Thankfully, after a week of rain, blue skies appeared for Annabelle and Carlisle’s wedding ceremony. It was quite hot, but a beautiful day as family and friends gathered to witness the marriage.

Annabelle was described by her father as an extremely organized girl, who traveled with her own cleaning supplies! She liked her clothes folded a certain way and by color. This spoke to this wedding planner’s heart. Carlisle was described by all as a sweet, good guy who was perfect for Annabelle. He has lots of baseball pitching talent and loves to coach.

Jim Kinder officiated the meaningful ceremony, and outlined what love and commitment looked like now and as the couple became one and grew together. Guests were then glad to make their way back to the art gallery to cool off and enjoy some Mexican food. After cake cutting people danced the night away and enjoyed visiting and catching up.

They couple left to a bubble and bell exit and made their way to a decorated Camaro. The bridal party and family did a great job in supporting the new Mr. and Mrs. Carlisle Koestler. We wish you the very best!

Rain did not dampen the crowd’s spirits as Kristy and Taylor united in marriage last night. Family and friends witnessed a beautiful ceremony performed by the bride’s brother, Mitch. The couple shared vows they wrote themselves. The bride was a vision in a beautiful wedding dress and veil that suited her perfectly, which was showcased as her father escorted her down the curving staircase.

The vendor team pulled together, and with every pivot made due to weather, everyone honored the bride and groom’s decisions and moved in the same direction. I was honored to work with such a great team.

The bride’s mom Kathy, was an excellent organizer and made executing the bride’s vision a unique reflection of individual style.

Grayson and Austin are married! And what a celebration it was over the Memorial Day weekend. We couldn’t have asked for better weather or vendor team. Sometimes it is just fun to have a wedding celebration like that. We had the luxury of Grayson being a local bride, and meeting her and her mother for the first time at Grayson’s workplace was when I knew this beautiful bride to be had excellent taste with an excellent vision. It was a privilege to be able to execute that vision for her.

Katrina Brown-Anderson and I counted down the days to see this all come together. The florist team were an amazing delight, and key to the vision. They traveled from North Alabama and began staging in a storage area behind Grayson’s workplace, and they did not disappoint. It was a beautiful ceremony, and as evidenced by the pictures it was a great time at the reception with a cool band, three costume changes, delicious food and drink, and the bride winning a dance off with breakdancing and spinning on her head- we’ll have to wait for professional pictures for that!

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Austin Burch- continue living live to the fullest together.

What do you do when sideways rain lands on your ceremony? You pivot, of course. Annie and Cooper were quite the troopers knowing that for the safety of their guests, they would not marry on the beach. But we could be close. Thanks to Paul, and his incredible staff at The Lodge at Gulf State Park, we scrambled with other events, and landed on the terrace, still with a water view. Groomsmen stepped up and helped dry off chairs. Tiffany, our photographer had to make quick decisions on alternate locations, and family and wedding party were so flexible. Ava and the floral team sandbagged and tied the arch to benches to brave the wind. When it was time to line everyone up, I found them hanging out, literally just as chill as could be; some on the floor.

Parkes Owen officiated the wedding and entertained everyone and had all laughing. Marvelous Strings adjusted their cues all over the place and went with the flow. And then everyone piled on busses for a reception at the Bama!

Kim Kennedy did us up right at the FloraBama. Amazing team, with great food. Those that wanted one, were greeted with a Bushwacker as they entered. The house band, Smokey Otis, kept the dance floor full all night. The send off was down the boardwalk with bubbles, and then at 9:30, the private space was open to the public. Thanks to all who helped, pivoted and supported this wedding of two very special people. Britton, you deserve a salute with all your planning and Bryan by your side. Mitcie, you were a pleasure to work with, too.

Courtney and Kermit are married! And on Courtney’s birthday. What a sweet time shared with special friends and family. Courtney had a grand plan about her wedding day and she allowed me to coordinate her vision. They were blessed by beautiful weather. Many happy tears were shed when a couple that had been together for thirteen years finally tied the knot. Courtney’s mom made sure that Happy Birthday was sung, and that the marriage contract was signed and notarized😂. As the wedding cake read, “Worth the Wait”.

Here’s what happens when two traveling nurses tie the knot. It was a gorgeous February day on the waterfront. The maid of honor knew the bride since high school, and the rest of her bridal party were sorority sisters. They took special care of the bride and serenaded her with a sorority song at the reception.

It was a beautiful ceremony officiated by Bryan Adams. Her dad gave her away and when asked “who gives this bride to be married?”, he answered in his best Darth Vader voice, “Her Father!”

Family and friends enjoyed a delicious meal and danced the night away at the reception- and we saw some amazing dance moves-and then it was on to the FloraBama.

Best wishes to Chelsey and Nick!

How do you spend a holiday weekend? Why, getting married, of course. Deb and Artoush celebrated their marriage in an intimate ceremony officiated by the bride’s best friend Betsy. The bride had her mom stand up for her and the groom had his son Zane as his Best Man. Atom the Flower Boy literally ran down the aisle and made amazing time getting to the end of it.

We learned Artoush sat down with his Duck Confit and a drink one night, and looked to his side, and a gorgeous red head walked in. He hoped against all hope that she would sit next to him… and she actually did. Talk about love at first sight.

The rainy evening held no one back. After a delicious meal with a Southern station (fried chicken, collard greens and biscuits) and a New Orleans station (jambalaya, blackened shrimp skewers, grouper bites, and hush puppies) the bride entertained with a song… and incidentally got a standing ovation), after a costume change, the dance party began. DJ Mike made the party as he spun vinyl under a disco ball. The wedding cake and macarons were to die for. Seriously-an Earl Grey cake filled with vanilla butter cream nearly put us away!

There was so much love and talent in one room, it was a pleasure to watch. Live long and happily together. Here’s to the new Mr. And Mrs. Ohanian.
