In honor of St. Ignatius of Loyola’s feast day today, here’s one of my favorite hymns based his “Suscipe” prayer. “These Alone Are Enough” by Dan Schutte. Accompaniment track by @SeraFireChristian on YouTube.
I’ve needed this prayer a lot of times in my life, but especially now that I’m a mom…like when nap time ends unexpectedly right as I’m about to record, so I have to surrender my desire for perfectionism and just go with the flow 😂

I love performing all types of music, but Catholic ceremonies are near and dear to my heart ❤️✝️
Even though my business is only about 4 years old, I began forming a love for sacred music and the Catholic liturgy from a young age. I started singing in church around the age of 10 with the children’s choir, and then in 10th grade I started cantoring with the adult choir at regular weekend Masses. In college, I spent 3 years as the Director of Music at the UNL Newman Center @huskercatholic, where I really got my first experience with singing for weddings, and I have spent the last 3.5 years as the choir director/Director of Liturgical Ministry/wedding music coordinator at my current parish, St. Charles Borromeo in Gretna, NE.
Everyday I continue to learn new things about sacred music, the Mass, and specifically the wedding ritual that I am so excited to be able to pass on to the couples that I work with. My mission in life is to help them plan a beautiful, authentic, meaningful Catholic wedding ceremony without all the stress of worrying about how a Catholic liturgy works.

2022 Let’s go!!!!
Welcome to my first reel 🥰
Like everyone else, 2021 was a bit of a struggle, not gonna lie. I was working two part-time day jobs that really both deserved to be full-time, and as a result I was working crazy hours. It took quite a toll on me mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Between giving all my time and energy to making sure all my responsibilities were covered and trying to balance family/personal life, something had to take a backseat, and unfortunately that thing was my small business. I realized I needed to take a step back from social media and other aspects of my business if I was going to maintain any sanity, especially during the holidays. 🎄
With the help of my friends and family, however, I realized that having multiple passions doesn’t mean that I have to act on all of them, because I will never be able to give 100% to all of them at once. So I made the decision to let go of the job that fit less well with our family’s current lifestyle, and I am excited to start putting more time and effort into my small business again so that I can get take better care of all my clients. 🎶
2022 is going to be the year that I start putting an emphasis on true balance and self-care in my life, and I am excited to see how that affects the rest of the areas in my family life, personal health, and work relationships. 💜💛
