Season of gratitude 🤍
*
A belated thank you to everyone who supports our little flower business. From our CSAs to weddings and everything in between. We hope you all made time to slow down and appreciate the things that really matter with friends and family last week.

I wanted to share a special wreath I had the honor of creating recently for friends who decided to leave Orlando in search of new adventures elsewhere. It is a combination of their beautiful garden bounty and ours - a tapestry of the little details that have woven our lives together over the years. There’s even remnants of their wedding flowers - the first wedding I ever did after returning to Florida 6 years ago. I won’t wax on about what being asked to create this meant to me, sharing it now feels like a better way to give thanks for the small magic in our lives.

Wishing you all a wonderful week 🌸

In honor of planting out the lisianthus this weekend, a look back on last season’s pretty pastel harvest. Things are rolling and as always, I think this coming season could be our best yet. 🌸
*
Our main plot is nearly planted out for early spring, and I’m working on getting a newsletter out this week with more information on our spring CSA memberships and how to sign up. Spots will be limited this year - make sure you are on our mailing list so you don’t miss out! And if you know someone who you think would love our flowers, give them a heads up, too 😉💛

Dreaming of spring 🌸

Taking a break from my walk down wedding lane to remind myself that in a few months I’ll be holding flowers again.

Pictured here, early-blooming ‘Flamingo’ snapdragons from last year, showing off of course. Believe it or not, our first succession of spring snaps have been in the ground for several weeks now and growing well! We’re doing several sowings this fall for a long bloom window in the spring and I can’t wait. They’re one of my favorites, after all.
*
Looking forward to sharing more memories from last season this week to get you all excited for what’s to come! 💕

Happy happy birthday to our sweet Mighty 🌼

Today is our pup’s 6th birthday, and we’re celebrating in the garden, of course. To our silly, often serious young man - who never misses an opportunity to roll in the grass, sniff the sunny breeze or embrace zoomies in the evening light. Who poses for the goofiest pictures, always picks the best flowers, is my ever-present shadow in the garden, and puts up unceasingly with my harvest music choices, ridiculous singing to Joni Mitchell and general bullsh*t. Who loves the rosemary, eucalyptus and marigolds the most. I can’t imagine life without you. You make our days brighter, more joyful…and hairier (in sure the cardinals, blue jays, and mockingbirds have nests lined with your golden fur) 😂 Happy birthday, Moose! Our OG California-turned-Florida boy! We love you so, so much.

This bouquet was just so special - bright and fragrant, completely sweet and a little wild - all the best things when you’re tying the knot with your best friend. I can’t wait to share more from this pretty day!

Bold, elevated color 💫
*
While Liberia and Marc’s personals were created using locally grown flowers, I included the addition of wholesale blooms like hybrid tea roses, speciality mums, alstroemeria and snapdragons in shades of peach, rust, mustard and blush to soften the other bright citrus hues used in the design. The effect was a warm, joyous, but elevated color palette that came together perfectly for this sweet couple in late-September. 🧡
*
My forever advice? Don’t be afraid of saturated color! Life is colorful, after all.

Hard to believe that it’s been one year since I had the privilege of celebrating this sweet couple!

As I sit here sipping my coffee on this bright Sunday morning, missing the marigolds I never got to plant because of my surgery, I thought it only fitting to share these beautiful pictures from and Marc’s lovely September day. 🌼
*
Probably my favorite color palette ever, with lots of warm fall hues and all the Florida-grown marigolds, harvested with intention from our farm, plus our own echinacea, strawflower and goldenrod. Just looking at these photos brings me joy. I hope their love brightens your Sunday, also. 🧡

The reception florals for this intimate vow renewal were such a dream. 💫
*
I loved creating these centerpieces - a slight twist on the popular pastel “wildflower” look, with more rich, saturated color dancing alongside bright whimsical elements. The whole look was sophisticated yet colorful, but still playfully romantic, just like the couple they were designed to celebrate. ❤️

Handheld magic 🌸

Looking through client wedding photos this morning has me in all the feels. I truly loved pouring myself into the design for each and every wedding this year - each one like a fingerprint, a moment in time completely unique to the couples who ultimately brought them to life on their big day.
*
I’m working on updating the website as well as our offerings for 2026 and can’t wait to tell the story of all our incredible couples through the lens of so many talented Florida-based photographers! 💕

I worried a lot. Will the garden grow, will the rivers
flow in the right direction, will the earth turn
as it was taught, and if not how shall
I correct it?

Was I right, was I wrong, will I be forgiven,
can I do better?

Will I ever be able to sing, even the sparrows
can do it and I am, well,
hopeless.

Is my eyesight fading or am I just imagining it,
am I going to get rheumatism,
lockjaw, dementia?

Finally I saw that worrying had come to nothing.
And I gave it up. And took my old body
and went out into the morning,
and sang.

Tomorrow’s the day - I’m getting a new ankle! Letting go of the worry and trusting that it’ll all work out. Sending you all love, wherever this finds you. From our garden to yours.❤️

Bonus gifts ✨

I think one of my favorite things about “fall” in central Florida is the flowers that self sow from the late spring, like a bonus “thank you” for surviving another season’s grind. Without fail, I always get a robust patch of celosia, gomphrena and zinnias which come back every mid-September right around the time I’m fortifying myself to begin again for spring. Completely unbothered, they emerge from a long sleep to greet me joyfully when my spirt needs it. This year, more than most, it’s a welcome respite my never ending list of to-dos, and the physical pain which has become a normal part of my day-to-day. As always, I am grateful🌸
*
I’m especially enamored with the ‘Shimmer’ celosia from - the range of colors is truly ethereal. It may be the only celosia I ever grow again.
*
Wishing everyone peace this Sunday. Love to you all. ❤️
