I appreciate all the encouraging messages I’ve received over the last couple of days & to be honest, I’m just as surprised as y’all are! I didn’t see myself doing any of this but I never stopped working at it. I didn’t see myself as a chef for a long time because I didn’t go to school for any of this. I’ve messed up several times along the way but one thing I didn’t do was quit.
The funny thing is, I fought against making desserts at first! I had an event that required a lot of cakes to be made last minute & I couldn’t get any bakers to do it so I did it myself! Still, I was adamantly against baking lol I started cooking for the Adeleye family and they loved sweets & wasn’t taking no for an answer lol I appreciate that push that I didn’t know I needed 💜💜
The recipes in this cookbook are special to me. Some of these have been in my family for years like Daisy’s Dr Pepper cake! Others like my French Toast Cake is what got me hired as a private chef 👨🏾🍳
Writing this book was one of the hardest challenges for me because I cook with soul and not measuring cups lol I didn’t use any complex techniques or special equipment to make these desserts so they are beginner friendly but will have people thinking that you’ve been doing this your whole life!
This cookbook is for anyone with no experience to seasoned chefs looking for some hidden recipe gems that you only find written down on the back of your grandparents envelopes.
