Role Overview:
As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our floral business. You will come into the flowers shop every day and provide administrative support to our team, assist with client communications, and help coordinate the logistics of our wedding and event services. Manage our social media presence to enhance our brand and engage with our community.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and handling emails.
Assist with client inquiries, including providing information about services, pricing, and availability.
Coordinate and schedule consultations and event planning meetings.
Maintain and organize client records, order forms, and inventory.
Assist with event logistics, including coordinating flower deliveries and setup.
Support the floral design team with various tasks as needed, such as organizing and packing supplies, cleaning flowers or backup support for daily operations.
Create compelling social media content. In this role, you will provide crucial administrative support while also managing our social media presence to enhance our brand and engage with our community.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Good Listener with the ability to Comprehend and follow instructions.
You are a self-starter who does not require micromanagement.
Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Represents themselves in a professional manner.
Social Media Management:
Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
Create, curate, and schedule engaging content across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest.
Monitor and respond to social media interactions, including comments, messages, and reviews.
Analyze social media performance metrics and generate reports to track progress and inform strategy.
Collaborate with the design team to showcase new arrangements, promotions, and events on social media.

This position is full time, with an expected 30 -40 or more hours per week. You will be working in the flower shop, driving to and from events, working events. Must be available some evenings and weekends for meetings, weddings or other events.

September marks a very special Anniversary for Fairbanks Florist as we celebrate our 42nd YEAR of Flower Power!!
