The Story of Mulled Wine 🍷

Did you know mulled wine has been warming people up for thousands of years? Its roots go back to the days of ancient Rome, where they used wine as a base to create a hot, spiced drink called "conditum paradoxum" to stay warm in winter. Romans brought this cozy tradition with them across Europe, inspiring new variations over the centuries.

During the Middle Ages, Europeans added spices to wine as a health remedy and a way to preserve the wine. The fragrant blend of cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and citrus became a holiday favorite, a drink meant to brighten long, cold winter nights.

By the Victorian era, mulled wine had become a festive must-have, often enjoyed during Christmas celebrations, thanks in part to its mention in classic literature, like Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.

This weekend's wedding was one for the books!!

One of our largest events to date, and we got to bring on two new Rockstars to the Glass Slipper team, welcome Fatima and Brenna, we're excited to have you!!

Talk about being able to put on a party!! The crowd was so pleasant to be around and the bride and groom were amazing!

Another beautiful wedding in the books!!

One of my favorite things about being a part of something so special is all the different types of ceremonial celebrations depending on the culture. Each and every one has been unique in its own way and being a fan of cultural anthropology, I've thoroughly enjoyed every experience!!
