Today is American Zoo Day... which makes it a great day to go to the Menominee Park and Zoo!

The zoo is approximately eight acres and carries 30-50 animals during the season. There are currently four permanent exhibits (wolf, elk, otter, and eagle), with several more to come. Best of all, admission to the zoo continues to be FREE due to a generous gift by Tom and Penny Harenburg.

Want to go fishing, but don't have the equipment? Check out one of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources tackler loaner sites. There is a DNR loaner site in our building located at 625 E. County Road Y in Oshkosh. 🎣

Borrow one from one of nearly 60 tackle loaner sites across the state, about half of which are located in state parks. Equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

🎉 Join us in celebrating Juneteenth Freedom Day! 🙌 Did you know that 18 Winnebago County GAR Veterans from the 20th Wisconsin Infantry were likely in Galveston in June 1865 to receive General Orders #3? This year, we commemorate their journey and the end of slavery with a special ceremony at the Winnebago County Courthouse. 🇺🇸 Watch the ceremony about it here:

These FREE events are a great opportunity for kids and families to be active and go outside.

Summer Fun Runs are back at Winnebago County Community Park!

The first Fun Run of the season is coming up on June 9.

All Fun Runs are FREE!!! Onsite registration begins at 6 p.m. with activities for families, and races start at 7 p.m.

If you participate in all three, you'll receive a t-shirt and finisher medal during the final Fun Run on August 11.
