Case Face Painting just finished 8 gigs in 7 days. Appanoose and Davis County fairs are wrapping up. I am so heart-warmed, and so tired! Fair season is wonderful. I love seeing kids I have watched grow up with their young siblings and cousins. Next weekend- Monroe County Fair! Make plans to visit the 4H food stand. It is amazing. BEEF - it's what's for dinner. (And pork)

We SE Iowans have great lives. Take a breath and a moment to truly appreciate it. Go to the Fair.

I'm proud to have been part of this OCCP's play, The Lion King, Jr. Case Face Painting designed the face paint for many of the animals, including the lions, hyenas, cheetahs, and wildebeests. We trained a pride of talented and dedicated volunteers, and donated tools and materials.

These kids did a wonderful job and it was a magical experience. I'm grateful to have been part of it.

The Ottumwa Community Children's Playhouse production of The Lion King Jr. opened to a crowd of about 350 people at the Bridge View Center on Friday night.

Face Painting is FREE courtesy of the Appanoose County Clover Buddies 4H kids, who do fundraising every year to provide this fun treat at the fair. What a great bunch of 4H'ers. Their leaders are Tiffany Brown and Ashley Long. Come to the fair!!

I had a great time at Melrose Independence Day celebration today. What a cool town! We opted for fast, simple designs and made 44 kids happy in 2 hours. I'm happy to have been invited back for a second year.
