Princess Diana, Princess Kate, Princess Grace, Queen Elizabeth, and countless other royals have all had it in their wedding bouquets!
The flower is called Lily of the Valley. It's insanely fragile and very difficult to get. Plus, it takes a lot of it to make an impact. This bouquet has 3 bunches of Lily of the Valley and a few white sweet peas. The perfect simplicity of it is so beautiful, and the fragrance is otherworldly.
Our sweet bride @anipappas decided that she wanted to do something unique for her wedding party. She had all of her maids and matrons wear floral cuffs and just her maid of honor carried a bouquet; the bride wanted the flowers to be really special and sweet. This posie was the perfect fit. It's easily one of my favorite bouquets I've ever designed, and it was perfect in the hands of the sweetest @maddydiddle
This day was so magical. I'd do it again and again. I can't wait to see the photos!
A girl wants it to be chilly in October. And if she can't have that, she wants flowers that LOOK like it's chilly in October.
Petals, I want to tell you all about these fresh pomegranate and persimmon branches we got in. And these insane teddy bear mums, and this viburnum berry. And how we made this stunning harvest centerpiece for one of our concierge floristry clients this week. And how it is basically a Dutch master painting come to life. BUT ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT IS CHRISTINA AGUILERA. Seriously. I have so much to say. But I won't. Cause you're here for the flowers. But definitely turn that volume up for a second.
Happy October 1!
Confession: I don't love the color orange.
But, in our floral designs, we often use orange because it feels fresh in summer and transitions perfectly into fall. And there are just some gorgeous orange blooms we don't want to miss out on.
To best use this bright hue, we often . . .
๐ use peach or terracotta with bright orange to chill the brightness
๐ pair orange with mauve or burgundy to feel moody
๐ pair orange with pink and coral to feel summery and fresh
๐ utilize lots of greens for a lush, gardens vibe
๐ make use of a monochromatic design style with lots of different blooms in the orange family so the textures supercede the color

Have your cake and eat it, too . . . or don't!
What we're seeing in wedding trends, in general, is that the most important thing about your 2024/2025 wedding is that it feels like you!

Give me a V! Literally.
When one of our concierge clients decided to throw her daughter a woodland fairy party, we immediately suggested a living letter for a photo spot. This V is almost 4 feet tall and is made of moss, preserved botanicals, and living plants. Here's how we did it:
๐ฑbuilt a wood frame and attached styro with tape and zip ties
๐ฑwrapped the entire piece in moss mat and secured with staples
๐ฑindividually placed tinted, preserved moss with cold, hot glue, and greening pins
๐ฑadded preserved botanicals with glue
๐ฑadded living plants, succulents, orchids, etc. with wire and cold glue
