What is Christmas?
“It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future.”

It’s my hope that everyone continues to bring the magic of this season into the days and year ahead. I hope that this year brings renewal, restoration and abundance to you all.

How grateful I am for all of you this year and the joy you’ve brought to my life. I will never have the words to fully explain how humbled I am for the opportunity to create celebrations and experiences filled with love for and with humans that I hold so dear. I am truly one of the luckiest and most blessed.

Dreaming in hues of red and dahlias.

Seeing a ‘trend’ towards cool tones and vibrant, enchanting reds. I’m always a, whatever feels right, gal and trends don’t usually spark my fire. But there’s always been a hint of mystery in what I believe to be one of the boldest colors in the spectrum. It’s daring yet filled with romance. And done well is every bit of magic.

Vignettes of love and in black and white.

Quickly becoming one of my favorite designers for a bride that is confident in her femininity and looking to make a statement. Ethereal maximalism. The floral layers and detailing give movement and exude sophistication and softness. Bold yet soft in its foundation.

and I styled our girl in three different NF looks this day and they all made our jaws drop to the floor.

In true fashion - literally and figuratively - captured the duality of editorial and effortless moments perfectly. Remember to build space into your timeline to not feel rushed. For portraits. To just be yourself. It’s not about the photos but the emotions and the memories behind them. And when you are most enjoying the time that unfolds, your photo and video team will have the ability to freeze these moments in time.

The core of everything I stand for and everything I’ve built this little business of mine on. How ‘With Love’ came to be. I am humbled every day by my personal and professional life - the people that I am fortunate to love and be loved by. There is nothing more important than my relationships with you all. Friends. I’m not sure there will ever be anything better than sitting around a table full of love and conversation. Story-telling. Being present. With the humans you cherish most.

Today and every day, I’m filled with gratitude for every opportunity to create ‘tables’ and hold space for clients, friends and family. So that they may experience this kind of joy.

I am privileged to have been chosen. And I’m privileged to do life with y’all. You are my reason and I am so thankful for all of you.

Those first moments. Waiting in anticipation. Excitement.

Even if you’ve done a first look, and been able to spend extra quality time together before your ceremony, there is nothing like those minutes before walking down the aisle to forever. In front of all of your favorite humans. To your person. And sharing special words, spoken out loud, promising a lifetime.

This is always one of the moments during the day when I get chills and, as my team can attest, big crocodile tears. The best kind. It’s always here, and the father daughter dance for me.

Sharing some of this incredible fall day for Jamie & Daniel and their closest friends and family who I hold so dear, in the mountains of North Carolina. It was everything.

Set amongst a rose garden lovingly created by the only , the most special family enjoyed a slow morning the day after the big day. Quintessentially French treats and baguettes, lavender tea, and mostly just pure joy. Being together. Frolicking on the grounds. Soaking in every last moment of this time spent in the Loire Valley, promising forever.

I will never forget these moments. They will transcend time forever.

I’m such a sucker for letters and postcards. Yes, digital words are equally written by that person, but they haven’t held the paper in their hands. They haven’t crossed out any misspellings or made little doodles. Their fingerprints aren’t all over it. There’s no lingering perfume.

The art of the handwritten. Paper. Sweet nothings. Heirlooms. There will never be anything matched. Receiving something tangible that holds the souls of the sender? The thought and intention behind it. There are only few things more intimate. Sharing an experience.

I think Mr. Rodney, Chandler’s dad, looked at me like I was out of my mind the first time I shared how we would transform their driveway into a private English garden for Chandler & Tyler’s ceremony. I think Chandler also may have looked at me the same way. Actually, so did Kelsey from Styled Kind, who I asked to build a 20’ stone wall at the end of a driveway, and then an additional length of privacy wall to help create an intimate experience out front of C&T’s family home.

But everything fell right into place with the intentional design and ex*****on of this day, and this space. Overflowing layers of botanical textures, Chandler’s favorite peonies with the smallest hint of blush to match the jacquard detailing in her Ines di Santo gown, stonework, hedging and so much more. Tying in so many thoughtful details - beginning with the story of how they met in the UK - this day was perfect. And this transformation was too. What do you think? ♡

Transforming this space for Nicole and Mike with an incredible team will always hold a special place in my heart.

The first time I walked into the cathedral ballroom at I knew it was made for the drama of long tables. They nestled perfectly within the alcoves, perfectly complimenting the high vaulted ceilings, beautiful Mediterranean architecture and gilded and patina ceiling.

With a nod to one of my favorite villas in Italy, the custom emerald green tux that Mike had made for the occasion, and the purest kind heart that is everything Nicole, the concept for this rich, yet fresh wintertime garden affair was born. We wanted to transport all of their guests to an experience that felt worldly, intimate and celebratory. Pulling in all of their adventures together and the fact that their families had been tied together forever, as their dads had been best friends since kindergarten. Never once did it feel like there were 242 people there. In a good way. It felt like family.

And it was.

I loved every single detail of this day. The journey to get there. And every day since.

I believe that when two people are in love with each other, you can see it in their eyes. The way they look at each other, the way they stare at each other, it’s all there. Their eyes are full of admiration, of attraction, of undying feelings for each other. Their eyes twinkle, their eyes are smiling. Even if they didn’t say a word about it, there’s this invisible thread connecting them two.

I love watching the love between my couples. It is my why. My belief in the art of marriage. In love. A foundational bond of best friendship, partnership, romance and the decision to choose one another every day. Timeless and everlasting.

Increasingly so, we need to set things ablaze. Our hearts. Minds. Hands. Sometimes I feel that monotony slowly creeps in, breeding complacency and desensitization. We fail to live when we fail to create and remember to do the things that light a fire inside of us. That can be cleaning or writing or reading or swimming in the ocean or climbing a mountain. Or even the art of doing nothing.

As an artist. A creative. An entrepreneur. It’s an ever changing ebb and flow of inspiration. Of good and bad days. And for me, I need to remember to step back and create for myself too. For no other reason than that. Just joy. Pushing my own boundaries. Learning new skill sets and techniques. And slowly romanticizing the moments where the dreams in my brain come out of my hands.

If you know this feeling — you know.

Picking up a camera this last year has been one of those artforms that has brought me joy in tandem with designing and styling. Being able to capture moments in an artful way, how I envision while designing them, has been such a connection point for me. I admire everyone who has the eye and talent to capture moments on film.

To freeze time. In a frame. One that evokes every one of your senses. And brings you back.

All this to say — especially to my creatives — remember it’s ok to take yourself out of the busy-ness, out of the requirement to produce, and just play. Your why will come back.

I am still downloading and processing the extraordinary days that have passed this week in France with this family. It doesn’t even feel real.
wedding.films just sent us the teaser and I literally have goosebumps as I simultaneously cry big crocodile tears.

In anticipation of sharing, I leave this very special day here. As before we traversed to Europe, Michelle and Matt legally got married here at home. In true fashion with their girls and their parents. These moments and portraits were captured with so much love and excitement for the days to come.

I truly am humbled and cannot imagine a more pure and deserving family than this one. I love you more than words and can’t wait to share the magic from this last week.

Traveling the world makes my heart race and soul fill with gratitude for the small story I have in the grande expansiveness of this world. Every time I leave home, I am left in awe by the landscapes, the people, the tastes and smells. Every sense awakened. It’s like a secret story only I know. Even when I’m with other people, what happens on the inside for me is something I don’t know I’ll ever be able to share with someone else — at least not in words.

I am sure I won’t be able to scratch the surface of seeing every bit of it in this lifetime, but that won’t keep me from trying.

And the opportunity to create in the most special and beautiful places in the world? I am humbled every time. My clients’ stories blow me away. Each and every one. No one like the other. Getting to know them, at the core, and designing an experience that breathes joy and celebration and forever into every facet.

I’m so incredibly grateful. For your love stories. For your trust. For the creatives that I am lucky enough to call family. And for the beautiful destinations we share together.

I sit writing this as it’s 3am in France. With goosebumps [the good kind] for the days ahead. My heart is happy. My eyes are tired. And I can’t wait to include y’all in the magic. I love you. ♡

Quiet luxury. Characterized by understated elegance, refined and quality materials, a timeless aesthetic. A lifestyle emphasizing exclusivity and discerning taste. It says everything without saying anything. And if I had to define my brand, this would be the essence of it. Such is the way @allforlovelondon and I designed L&L’s intimate wedding day. It was effortless. Sophisticated. Beautiful. The crisp air softly whispered around us, and the light was glowing. Their story unfolded in the most magnificent way.

I may be biased but I don’t believe there is any light like that in the hills of Tuscany. And I’m so thrilled to finally be sharing this most perfect day with you. Amidst the most special backdrop in the private sanctuary of @fattoriedicelli , we designed an intimate ceremony for L&L that emulated the wild and richly lush landscape of the countryside. Utilizing native botanicals, textured variations of urns and vessels made from clay and stone, the beautiful framework of the ornate wooden door and a hint of soft velvet, I believe we truly captured the essence of quiet Italian luxury. And really enhanced the beauty that radiated out of the hearts of our L&L. You can clearly see they are glowing. It was spectacular in every way. ♡

To quote @nicolepeterson , “The feet are swollen and the heart is full. Yesterday was the best day of my life by far.”When people find out what I do, they always want to hear “the stories”. And from the bottom of my soul, my “stories” are those filled with gratitude and with absolute pleasure. My clients are a joy. My couples are love. Their families are the warmest hugs. Their friends are the unabashed laughter. And everything about the journey to get to the day is an honor. No story is without flaw. Because emotions are human. And humans are imperfect. But they’re imperfect in a way that makes the path to marriage full of heart and soul. Of the reasons that matter. Making it intentional and full of purposeful decisions that come together with love. Something that is wholly unique to each story. I am constantly in awe of my couples and their humans. And with each day, I am consistently reminded why I love what I do. Because I fall in love with each of my clients and their families and friends. Their why. Their reason. The way that they choose each other. And the way that they desire to experience this day.
