Brunch just got better! More legendary! You're in for a fabulous live show from THE STARLETS!

Inspired by iconic girl groups The Ronettes, The Angels, The Shirelles and The Supremes, The Starlets take you on a musical journey through the 50s & 60s when radio was dominated by Pop, Doo-Wop, R&B and Motown. Take a trip back in time as The Starlets perform such memorable hits as Heatwave, These Boots are Made for Walkin’, Be My Baby, Stop! In the Name of Love, and more! Produced with fabulous costumes, sizzling choreography and engaging audience interaction, this show will be the talk of the town on Sunday!

Looking back at this year's Desert Legend Award recipient Caroline Haines, founder of the Lina Shore Golf Tournament!

Her first tournament was in 1989 and was simply a BBQ and fun gathering with 35 friends. The attendance doubled and then tripled, with over 220 golfers playing in 1998!

Flashback to to the 70s and 80s: Times were different and not everyone could be as out and proud as they are today, even the pro golfers. But word spread and secret parties emerged. Kathy Miller was one of the first promoters to throw a Dinah Shore party! Many promoters came to town and the parties grew every year in production and attendance. A le***an tradition had spontaneously begun!

Sadly, the golf tournament stopped happening in Palm Springs in 2023, but the parties continue. Desert Legends promoters are excited to keep the tradition alive, and promise your Desert Legends vacation will be a weekend you won't forget!

Each year, we honor an out-and-proud le***an trend-setter with our Desert Legends Award. In 2023, the legendary Kathy Miller was our first recipient. Stay tuned for 2024 & 2025 winners.

She was one of the most popular players of her time—maybe THE most popular—and for good reason. Amy Alcott was fun to watch. She pured it off the tee, she striped her irons, and if she missed an approach shot, she could get up and down from anywhere. She was gritty, determined and passionate. But that’s not why she was so popular. Amy Alcott is beloved because she was just pure joy.

It was Amy who, in 1988, started the ’s best-known tradition by jumping into Poppie’s Pond after winning the Nabisco Dinah Shore (now known as the Chevron Championship, an LPGA Major). This was back when the pond was, well, a pond. Today it’s a well-maintained pool. And when she won “The Dinah” again in 1991, she jumped in again, this time dragging tournament director Dinah Shore with her!
