Our Story
OUR STORY
Burkett’s Barbecue is a collection of the foods I have created to replace the old staples, a road trip of the flavors introduced to me at a young age beginning on the grounds of Los Compadres during Deep Pit, through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma to the dives surrounding the KU campus, an invitation to gather your friends and family for a meal much like we have each day in my back yard.
It is a tribute to the man who is the icon of Burkett’s Barbecue.
My grandfather Ray Burkett gave me my Palm Springs roots, my passion for barbecue and my last name.
