Can’t wait to bring my sweet little Lottie back to life once we can move back into our home and she’s not serving as our closet!

Poor Lottie didn’t fare very well through . Her flooring will need to be replaced, along with the lower row of shiplap, at a minimum. She has lots of leak spots that need to be repaired, she needs be repainted.
For now she will house our clothes, thanks to the AC unit we installed in her, as we gut and repair our home, also affected by the storm. We have lost almost everything except for hanging clothes and pictures on our walls. We are safe and “things” can be replaced. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by Helene.

As with any vintage camper, leaks are very possible, and very likely to happen. We’ve been trying to pinpoint a couple of spots where she has been leaking.

Today the hubs sealed the seams on the roof with seam tape and rolled three coats of liquid sealer over the whole roof. I had no idea until today that the roof was bare metal before! 😳

There is rain in the forecast for this week so we’re hoping this does the trick.

Next project will be to paint the inside once shoes no longer leaking, a then fresh paint outside. This venture certainly is a labor of love!
