Collaboration with other organizations within our city is vital to building a stronger community. Today, I had the privilege of volunteering with the Kiwanis Club of North Manatee. Despite the challenging temperatures for us Floridians, we came together to serve the children of the 4H/FCC Club a warm breakfast—and, of course, hot chocolate was a must! It was a rewarding experience and a reminder of the impact we can make when we work together.

A Transformation Strategy articulates a focused, deliberate path to revitalizing or strengthening a downtown or commercial district’s economy. Each Transformation Strategy is implemented through activities in the four broad areas of work represented by the Four Points: Economic Vitality, Design, Promotion, and Organization.

The historical marker near 10th Ave. W and Riverside suffered damage during Hurricane Milton. Pictures of the damage were sent to The Florida Main Street Program in Tallahassee and The Department of State, Bureau of Historical Resources, is working to restore the marker.

Palmetto, FL – The Palmetto Downtown Main Street Inc. is proud to announce it will host the Winter Quarterly Workshop for Florida Main Street on January 13-14, 2025. This event will bring together Main Street organizations, community leaders, and local stakeholders from across the state to share insights, strategies, and success stories aimed at revitalizing historic downtown's and fostering economic growth.

Set against the charming backdrop of downtown Palmetto, the workshop promises an engaging lineup of expert speakers, interactive sessions, and networking opportunities. Attendees will explore best practices for downtown revitalization, community development, and historic preservation, while experiencing the vibrant culture and hospitality that Palmetto offers.
