Spring break was such a blast! We are ready for a new week full of sun, Dinosaurs and hopefully no catastrophes such as Dinosaurs breaking out, roaming the streets and cities and causing havoc.

A T-Rex and a Velociraptor are sitting in a bar.
And the Velociraptor points to a Triceratops in the corner and says

And the T-Rex says
“Because he was herbivorous”

The former Renfro Hotel and current Grand Victorian Inn (link in comments) in Park City, Barren County, Kentucky. The hotel was built between 1903 and 1905 to replace an earlier building that burned. The 2.5 story brick building combines the asymmetrical footprint so popular in the late 19th century with a wrap-around porch that incorporates details of the newly popular Revival and Neoclassical styles. It was perfectly sited for visitors to Mammoth Cave, as it is located right on the railroad - and even though passenger rail traffic may be a thing of the past, this great historic building is still hosting guests! Park City, Kentucky.

Discovered in the 1920's; the naturally decorated Frozen Niagara section remains one of the most famous at Mammoth Cave, and serves as a highlight featured on two tours this winter. The Domes and Dripstones tour is moderately strenuous and requires a two hour hike and numerous hills and stairs to reach this point.

The Frozen Niagara tour is a short tour which offers a chance to visit this area with only 12 stairs. This tour is ideal for anyone with difficulty walking long distances or negotiating stairs. This tour includes a 10 minute bus ride to and from the entrance.

Our winter tour schedule has the Frozen Niagara tour daily at 12:30 and Domes and Dripstone tour daily at 1:00 PM.
