I picked this up from AliExpress for like 13 bucks. The best money spent in a long time. I also bought a fancy desoldering station. I sure wish I had bought this thing first. If you are taking out parts with pins like through hole IC chips, you need this thing.

Got a new piece of repair equipment into the stable. Wasn't super expensive and seems to work well. I got these voice chips out of theis Juno 106 with ease. I've been needing something like this for the home repair studio for a long time. I've got a hot air and soldering iron combo coming in from Aliexpress for cheap too.

Repairing the end caps on this JX-8P. I got the wrong screws at ACE. Back to drawing board.

1) Had to rebuild the 5V supply. Build it with discreet components 4 diodes. Replaced the 2 prong AC inlet plug with a modern 3 prong job. Repaired the after touch. It all works now as far as I can tell. however I did beak a key....they very last high key. I've got some epoxy on it but I don't think it's going to firm up. I'll probably be buying a new one. One thing about these things.....Both of the ends are destroyed and do not attach to the chassis. That's what happens when you lift these up by the ends. It's a terrible design. I'll have to trim some wood and bolster the ends. The right end will be easy. The left side has controls in it. Uhg!

This company makes stainless steel Floyd rose saddles, and hardware. I recommend! I installed them on a FR Speacial and they work great! And I think they look a lot better than chrome parts anyway.

Got a batch of small switches in. I was going to drill a hole and install it but found that the front grill was perfect without having to make a hole.

Bought this little Peavey Piranha 6505 tube preamp head for a steal off eBay. The top is missing. I'm going to make one out of some diamond plate. I found the switch was bad. I bypassed it with a flux capacitor and signed the 27b-6 and all the TPS reports I needed. And now it works. I guess I'll buy a little toggle switch for it. This little amp rocks! Plenty loud as a practice amp in a bedroom or small jam.
