Headed to Xfinity Center
(Great Woods for us older kids) to see Sammy Hagar and the Best of Both Worlds tour with Michael Anthony, Joe Satriani, and Jason Bonham. They'll be replacting the Van Hagar era plus few DLR era songs, plus I'm sure they will perform "I can't drive 55". Let's go!!!

Today in music history...
One of my favorite Hard rock/Heavy Metal singers
Mr. Ronnie James Dio
Born today July 10, 1942 in Portsmith N.H.
Ronnie was a talented singer who also played bass and guitar as well as the trumpet
(I've never heard him play!)
"DIO" to his many fans, Ronnie performed in alot of bands growing up in the 60's.
Ronnie started a band called Elf. That band ended up playing on Rainbow's 1st studio album with Ritchie Blackmore, guitarist of Deep Purple fame.
Ronnie left Rainbow in 1979 to join Black Sabbath.
Ronnie changed the sound of BS. They released 2 albums and a live album before leaving Sabbath to start his own band, Dio
The rest they say is history...
Ronnie passed away, May 16, 2010 of stomach cancer.
I listen to Dio several times a week in my assorted playlists.
He is greatly missed

Today in music history - 1973!

Led Zeppelin's fifth album Houses Of The Holy was on both the US and UK album charts. The album spent a total of 39 weeks on the US chart. The cover art for Houses Of The Holy was inspired by the ending of Arthur C. Clarke's novel Childhood's End. It is a collage of several photographs which were taken at the Giant's Causeway, Northern Ireland, by Aubrey Powell of Hipgnosis.

Our Story

In 1977 I was volunteering at a local church in m neighborhood. Setting up chairs for the weekly friday night dances. The priest running the dances came running into the basement to tell us the DJ for the dance was sick and would not be coming. That’s when my friend Jim decided to volunteer me and my somewhat limited record collection to DJ the dance.

And the rest they say is history... I LOVED making people get up and have fun and forget about life for awhile. What a great job! Providing fun music to people at their most important events of their lives and getting paid for it? Sign me up!

That was a long time ago but yet my passion has never been stronger. Watching two people say their vows, being introduced like the rock stars they are into their wedding reception. Filling the room with the music that made and will make memories that last a lifetime is truly a labor of love.

I will continue to provide the BEST customer service and VALUE for your hard earned dollar!
