Introducing the faces behind the business, Rick and JoAnn!

Hi and welcome! Both JoAnn and I are Petaluma locals. JoAnn’s parents, Jim & Evelyn purchased this farm in 1947, where JoAnn has lived almost all of her life. We have had interests in gardening projects for many years, and decided to start growing lavender as a hobby. After so much interest from local people and businesses, The Lavender Bee Farm was established in 2001. The lavender farm has grown to over five thousand plants, with plans for more! We hope to meet you on your next visit.

When our barn isn’t being used for events (isn’t it beautiful?!), it is used to hang our lavender bunches. Once harvested, we hang our lavender to dry. Be sure to check out our drying process when you visit next 💜
