To assist regional educators to host their own version of the Health Workforce for the Public Good program, we are offering six 2 hour live sessions once a week followed by several months of in individual or team mentoring. In addition, institutions starting their own courses will have full access to the PPTs, lesson plans, readings, and discussion questions we have used in previous years. We are calling this the HWEPG 2025 Teaching Fellowship and applications are closing soon. Please click below to apply by December 15. 2024. Call for Applications: TUFH Teaching Fellows 2025!

Train the trainer program on the Health Workforce Education for the Public Good (HWEPG)

TUFH is moving the Health Workforce Education for the Public Good (HWEPG) course into regional centers. The purpose of this TUFH Teaching Fellowship program is to work in partnership with education leaders so they can adapt the current online HWEPG course and implement it in their region. We anticipate that participants will have curriculum design and teaching skills to share with others in the program. Materials from the current HWEPG course will be freely available to participants to modify or use intact. HWEPG course values - participants learn from and with each other, a focus on application of knowledge, and emphasis on local authenticity of content - are maintained, while the program is adapted by participants to meet local needs.

TUFH Symposium: Strengthening competency-based education for essential public health functions (EPHFs): WHO tools and opportunities

You are invited to this TUFH Symposium. In this symposium, attendees will hear from the WHO about its vision for strengthening competency-based education for the EPHFs for the breadth of the public health workforce and delve into the contents and guidance of its Roadmap and newly published toolkit. Participants will consider the relevance of the guidance to their own contexts and brainstorm together on opportunities to integrate the competencies and curricula content into their own programmes and settings, as well as using the guidance to support and inform their networks.
