Today I laid my mom to rest..She passed a week before her 96th birthday…if you knew my mom you know I would not have done ANYTHING career wise if it wasn’t for HER. She let me set up turntables in my dining room and practice and never once told me to stop making that noise…LOL. She believed in me before I knew how to believe in myself. I knew this day was coming just as it’s coming for all of us, so I made sure to say everything I wanted to say and do everything I wanted to do with her before this day came so that I am very proud and thankful for. I can honestly say losing my mom has been the toughest thing I’ve gone through in my life, but I know she’s with her husband/my Dad, her mom, all her sisters and brothers and my sister, Sharron, and they’re all in the kitchen, cooking a massive meal and setting the table, and waiting for the rest of us to come and eat. I want to thank everyone for their condolences and well wishes… Myself and my family truly appreciate it. If you please bear with me, I need to take a little bit of time for myself because I know it really hasn’t hit me yet. Rest well, Sarah M Townes… You so deserve it for an excellent job. Well done, and I will see you soon.
Luv your youngest son,
Jeffrey Allen Townes
