Let’s talk Wedding Cake

1. Before buying another cake, check if it’s included in your catering package.
2. Multi-tier cakes are becoming less popular. Opt for a small cake for you and your fiancé to cut, and have your caterer serve large sheet cakes to your guests from the back.
3. Personalize your cake! Show off your personality with colors or a heart shape. Remember, only your parents will be watching you cut it, so make it uniquely yours.
4. When cutting the cake on your wedding day, just pretend you’re at home cutting a piece of cake. Don’t overthink it!
5. Silent cake cutting > announced (ask your planner)
6. We will always make sure cake makes it way back with you at the end of the night.
7. No one eats the cake anyway.

“trust your gut, trust the salt.”

If you are a wedding planner, you understand the importance of making plan Bs, especially at venues like @.

With guidance and information, we always advise our couples to follow their guts and listen to their hearts. And in this instance -

1. Place salt in your right hand and close it.
2. Circle the salt around your head three times counterclockwise.
3. Wash off all the salt with running water!

Needless to say, after thunderstorms ALL day. The weather broke open 15 minutes before the ceremony, the birds were chirping and the sun was shining ☀️

And we could not have had this happen without the amazing team of vendors on hand to roll with the punches and make it happen!

A: The truest zen. You can always count on me to remind you to take deep breaths and savor each moment. I’ll be there to capture behind-the-scenes memories and be your biggest hype girl!

Q: What are 3 words to describe your personality? 
A: Carefree, Confident & Adventurous

Q: How do you cure your post-wedding hangover?
A: Hopping in my car with the moon roof open, listening to my favorite Spotify playlist, grabbing a hoagie from Earnest & Sons, and heading to Brigantine Cove for a perfect beach day.

Q: Tell us something that you want everyone to know -
A: Everyone calls me Pig, so if you hear the girls on the wedding day asking for Pig - it’s me. (Long story 😂)

BUT I am an avid world traveler who is also on a mission to visit every national park in the U.S. I work part-time as a yoga teacher in Fishtown, where I practice to live in each & every moment. I hold a culinary degree from Johnson & Wales and have a crazy passion for all things food. Above all, I am a family-oriented person, which means I truly understand and value the significance of being part of your wedding day. You can truly count on me to put my heart and soul into each wedding I have my hands on.

Q: What can your clients expect from you, on their wedding day? 
A: Oh boy, you can definitely expect me to match your wedding aesthetic, I love a good blazer! To do anything that is asked of me - included but not limited to, taping b***s, giving the socks off of my feet and helping the bride p*e! No is not necessarily in my vocabulary on the wedding day. You can expect me to be your biggest cheerleader, before, during and after the wedding, I truly do form such a beautiful connection with my clients!

Q: What are 3 words to describe your personality? 
A: Creative, caring and funny!

Q: How do you cure your post-wedding hangover?
A: This is a good one! I start the day off with a Bulletproof coffee from Wild & Co, as I head into a day completely unplugged from my phone, throw in a walk with my dog, as well as lots and lots of yoga! Depending on the day, perhaps a Netflix binge?

Q: Tell us something that you want everyone to know -
A: I lead with passion in everything I do! So always know, when I’m planning your wedding I am putting my all into it and care whole-heartedly. On the other hand, I do have passions outside of work and practice the art of being present in my life. I love traveling to new and old places, spending time with friends and family, exploring the great outdoors with my dog and getting out of my comfort zone. I like to put my all into filling my own cup, so I can better pour into others!

A: Since I’m usually the lead planners assistant on the day, the client can expect not to see me most of the day

 I’m usually always the one behind the scenes setting up, making sure all of the details and planning are as expected! When they do see me, I’ll probably be sweaty!

Q: What are 3 words to describe your personality? 
A: Organized, dedicated, smiley

Q: How do you cure your post-wedding hangover?
A: I’m usually so happy once the end result is exactly what the couple envisioned that the next morning doesn’t feel like a hangover! It feels like an ‘it was all worth it’ moment, I’m happy when our clients are happy!

Q: Tell us something that you want everyone to know -
A: I will inevitably leave your wedding with a large purple bruise!

A: You get me, the person you’ve been working with the whole time, no surprises. I’m excited to share in your day. I will make sure that it’s exactly how you’ve always envisioned it. You can expect me to put out any fires that arise on your wedding day while staying calm, and when things get a little too emotional, you can always count on me to do silly little dances, so your tears turn to laughs and your makeup stays well intact. 

Q: What are 3 words to describe your personality? 
A: Opinionated, Kind & Goofy (ok but if I had to pick a forth - Stylish)

Q: How do you cure your post-wedding hangover?
A: Ooo this can be tough! I usually get up early and conquer the day, even if the wedding day ends at 3 am. I love a good workout and tend to plan activities that keep me out of the house and moving. Otherwise, I would be a puddle on the couch, with a bag of chips.

Q: Tell us something that you want everyone to know -
A: I want people to know this about our company - I am there for you, I work for you! While I love the people and vendors we work with, you come first! We’ve got your back!  So many times I’ve caught us all in a scenario where we each have extended ourselves or bent over to make things happen for our couples. I’m also genuinely so proud of this team at Kyle Michelle Weddings & Events and who we are as individuals and as a fierce group of women!

A: I am constantly thinking about what has to happen next. I keep the day running on time while smiling like it happens by chance. I can be cool as a cucumber, but I am also a momma bear, and when you mess with my cubs couples I will be the first to pounce. 

Q: What are 3 words to describe your personality? 
A: Feisty, Fun & Fast Paced. 

Q: How do you cure your post-wedding hangover?
A: You will find me in sweats, no makeup (I wear makeup every other day) on the couch with my dogs by my side and a coffee in hand. 

Q: Tell us something that you want everyone to know -
A: I am the mother of two kids (almost adults), a soon-to-be sophomore in college and a soon-to-be junior in high school. My favorite moments are when I get to spend time with them. P.S. My hubby and I will celebrate 20 years of marriage in October!
