Want to have the best ceremony photos ever? We’ll here’s just a few reasons why you should have an unplugged ceremony…
There have been so many times in my career as a photographer that I’ve sorted through photos of a ceremony and there are phones/cameras blocking a special moment (walking down the isle, vows, rings, first kiss, recessional, etc.) When you get your wedding gallery back you don’t want to see phones in the way of your most special memories. You are paying your photographer to capture the most important moments of your day and you don’t want the quality of your photos to be ruined because a phone/camera is blocking your photographers point of view. Your photographer truly tries their best to work around your guests but we can’t always ask every guest to move their phone/camera out of the way.
An unplugged ceremony ensures your photographer can stay focused on the most important moments you want captured and allows for your guests to be present in the moment and not focused on taking photos on their phone. Because let’s be honest photos taken on a cellphone do not even compare to photos take on a professional camera. Don’t let your guest unintentionally ruin your wedding photos!
Here’s how to ensure your ceremony is unplugged:
- Announce that you are having an unplugged ceremony on your wedding invitation and/or wedding website
- Have an unplugged ceremony sign that is visible to guests when they walk into your ceremony space
- Have your officiant announce your unplugged ceremony prior to the precessional
