Upcoming Dutch Oven Cooking Workshop - February 8, 2025 at Superstition Mountain Museum.
Learn how to cook in a Dutch Oven at a four-hour demonstration class. The class begins at 9:00 a.m. and starts with the basics:

Types of Dutch Ovens;
Recommended accessories;
Care and use of Dutch Ovens;
Cooking techniques;
Heat/temperature management.

No prior Dutch Oven cooking experience is necessary. At the end of the class students will get to try samples of the dishes cooked.

Dutch Oven Cooking Class coming up at Skyline Regional Park on October 19, 2024. This is a 3 1/2 hour class which includes discussion on equipment, and cooking tips. Samples will be provided. Taught 4 two hour Dutch oven classes yesterday. It was for the Powderhorn leadership training for Boy Scouts. We had fun but it was a long day.

Our next Dutch Oven cooking class will be at Skyline Regional Park on March 2, 2024. This is a 6 1/2 hour class which includes discussion on equipment, prepping and cooking a yeast rise bread, and a side dish, main dish or dessert. October 21, 2023 - Buckeye Parks and Recreation will host a class at Skyline Regional Park. 9:00am-4:00pm. Register through Buckeye Parks and Recreation prior to October 16, 2023.

March 2, 2024 - Buckeye Parks and Recreation will host a class at Skyline Regional Park. 9:00am-4:00pm. Register through Buckeye Parks and Recreation prior to February 26, 2024.

November 4, 2023 - Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort State Park will host a class from 9:00am-1:30pm at the Fort. Registration information will be posted later (it will probably be through EventBrite)

Another Dutch oven cooking class in the books. Great participants. They asked good questions and made comments. And the food turned out very tasty. 3 repeat students, we love that they have so much fun they want to come back.

A tentative date for the next dutch oven cooking class has been set. February 25, 2023. It will be at Skyline Regional Park in Buckeye, Az. Buckeye Parks and Rec will publish the registration information in their Eye on Buckeye booklet. More info will follow closer to the class date.
