CAST & CREW CALL IN SHOW LOW

10-minute Film "CONFESSIONAL" by Doc Skinner
(1-day shoot, just for FUN)
Greetings, everyone.
It seems there is a lot of interest, and that is Awesome!
But I messed up by not giving better details. Due to the topic, this will be for adults only. I will write a short film for the kids next time, so don't worry. So, on that note, let me be more precise. This is a 10-minute Short film for the Show Low Film Festival and just for fun with LOCALS who want to have fun doing make-believe or want to meet other Actors and filmmakers on the mountain.
If you're an actor, please apply. Just know this is NOT SAG or a paid gig, you can add this film to your real. What you do get is that if it is accepted to the 2024 Show Low Film Festival, You will get to attend as a Filmmaker and mingle with all the right people as well as big names, Celebrities, Studio Executives, Actors, Directors, screenwriters and more. You will get VIP passes to see all the movies at the Festival OCT. 18-20, 2024, go to the workshops, Walk the Red Carpet, get your photo taken, and be interviewed by reporters. You will also get to go to the Awards Banquet for Filmmakers with a VIP badge.
So, No, I can't Pay you, But I can promise a fun time, a chance to win an award, and a chance to meet some big names in the industry.
* It can happen if you're just trying to break into the business and network to further your career.
*If you just think it would be a Fun day, then that's great too.
Characters Needed:
1. An Elderly Catholic woman Praying at a pew. She is the watcher of the Confession booth. Grumpy. She snaps at the man.
2. An Elder Catholic Priest or an Actual priest would be best. They would have their own attire and could help us get access to a church and confession booth. They would feel natural. It doesn't have to be a real Priest, But Facial Expressions are vital. There would be little dialog; His shots would be more "reactions" than anything.
3. The Prisoner Dan Dravenski. This could be anybody that can look evil. Long hair is preferred but not vital. Bald is good, too. Only one line of dialog is repeated twice. Needs to be a terrifying Prisoner. Very bad man. Age 30-70
4. The Governor. Large, powerful Texan with boots and cowboy hat. He has one line.
5. The Wardon, an older, tough Texan man, Stern, Professional with no remorse.
6. Guard #1: Very respectful and professional corrections officer. No Lines. Actual Law Enforcement would be great if possible.
7. Guard #2: Very respectful and professional corrections officer. No Lines. Actual Law Enforcement would be great if possible.

EXTRAS - The Towns People. ADULTS ONLY: Men and Women
I will need no more than 20 people, ages 21-70, as witnesses to an event. Your reactions to the event are vital. This scene will only take 30 minutes to shoot.
CREW NEEDED (1 Day shoot)
1. ONE D.P. Director of Photography, AKA Camera Man.
Must have an eye for the camera and some experience with Black Magic Cinema 6k or have a phenomenal Demo Reel.
2. ONE Hair/Makeup/Wardrobe person
3. ONE Gaffer or Light Guru (Experience preferred, but newbies are cool)
4. ONE Sound Tech (Experience and gear are necessary. Boom and Lavs)
5. ONE P.A. or a Production Assistant. You are an assistant and can do many things. A vital part of the team.
LOCATIONS NEEDED (Just for 1 day)
1. Catholic Church with Confession Booth: We will only need 1 hour to shoot the scene. Any church that helps us will be in the credits and special Thanks section.
2. Mountain Prison. If there is an old abandoned Prison where we can have permission to film in a hallway, isolation room, and cell for two hours, that would be awesome! Hand and ankle restraints are also needed. School Offices with windows and cinderblock-painted walls would work, too. Location and staff will be credited in the film.
COSTUMES NEEDED (Just for 1 day)
1. Blank Orange Scrubs. L or XL. We will get his specific Jail number printed on the front and the D.O.C. Department of Corrections on the Back.
2. Three Prison Guard Uniforms, Gear belts, and name tags.
3. Priest Attire, Cross, Purple Sash
4. Tall, Tan Trench coat with large Collar.
5. Classic black Fedora that looks past down from generations
PROPS NEEDED (Will be returned the same day)
1. One Free Standing Brown or wood Coat and Hat Rack
2. Ankle and Handcuffs
