The Requiem's Events of Texas meeting will be short and not recorded. It will only cover one topic, briefly - maybe 15 minutes.

All are welcome to join us and stay for the second part of the meeting on being a Guild Master with Guilds of Requiem, Inc. We will still be finishing up by 7 pm CDT for the Homesteaders and Preppers Guild of Requiem meeting.

With pending arrival of our 9th Anniversary on August 1st, we would like to spotlight our guilds and give information on who we are.

Who is Guilds of Requiem, Inc?
We are a 501(c) Nonprofit Organization that has a three-fold mission:
* Network with Other Organizations
* Present Unique Educational Events
* Serve the Communities We Live In

We do this from the old world "guilds" perspective in the modern age. Each "guild", or department, has a Guild Master. Within those guilds are Journeyman and Apprentices. Each department has a learning and teaching component to it, which gives each member their own unique involvement.

What are the different guilds (departments)?
* Agrarian Guild houses our Homesteaders and Preppers Guild and focuses on anything that is grown, or raised, with an eye on self-reliance regardless if you live in an apartment or acreage in the countryside.
* Crafters Guild focuses on the crafts whether the medium is canvas, yarn, or the stage! You will find everything from sewing, resin, photography, and performance arts
* Merchants Guild is one of our guilds that operates in the background of it all. It includes Social and Website Management and endeavors to earn the Guilds money to support all that we do.
* Resources Guild is also in the background with tasks such as Business Administration and Management to area resources
* Scholars Guild touches everything we do! If there is a teaching component, they are behind it to ensure accuracy of information being taught.
* Technicians Guild will soon see an increase of visibility as we roll out a HAM Radio club in Bandera County that has no geographic boundaries. Otherwise, they are the builders and the repair technicians of the Guilds.

Over the next several weeks, we will spotlight each of the guilds and the projects they house.

Mark your calendars! This month's meetings will be held on June 21st, 2025, starting at 6 pm Central Time.

6:00 pm - Requiem's Events of Texas - should be short as it is just an update on the September 20th event - this will also be our last meeting until August.

7:00 pm - Homesteaders and Preppers Guild - Lots of conversation about the September 20th event and, hopefully, a guest speaker on Wildfire Safety on the Homestead

8:00 pm - Space Station Requiem - Join in the discussion as we venture into original tv series, reboots, and spin-offs. Don't forget the trivia at the end of the meeting! This week's prize is a Space Station Requiem badge and the .pdf download of our uniforms.

Help us help the community by volunteering!

Guilds of Requiem, Inc. offers a unique brand of community service through Operation: Teddy Bear Hugs, along with Spring and Fall Homesteaders and Preppers Bazaar, and we need your help.

We are aiming for redundancy in our event coordinators so that if one is out the events will still go on! If you have event coordinating experience, or want to learn a new skill, check out the positions we have below!

* Co-Coordinator - Aware of each step of the event and can act as a back-up the day of the event
* Public Relations - Work with area businesses for sponsorships and advertising locations
* Co-Public Relations - Work with area Non-profits and community services to have a presence at our events
* Activities Coordinator - Provide activities for our younger guests that related to the event
* Volunteer Coordinator - Recruit and manage volunteers for events. From runners to presenters, this vital position is the core to our Spring and Fall events.

Each volunteer will be paired with a "buddy" to ensure maximum coverage and help eliminate canceled events due to primary coordinator being taken out.

September is National Preparedness Month. We would love to work with local community services to have you at our event September 20th.

We are currently at our property in Pipe Creek, which is limited in space. Any assistance in securing a larger venue, not so weather dependent, would be a helpful boon for our small non-profit and increase the potential of this event to reach a larger audience and host more community preparedness resources.

A giant HUZZAH! to our sponsors and the vendors who were able to make. And a special thanks to those who braved traffic in full garb/costume to grace our small event. In all we saw about 200 people on Saturday, which isn't bad considering we were competing against Cornyval and Fiesta weekend.

We look forward to what the next year will bring as we hand over the reins to a new coordinator with another local nonprofit.

Tomorrow is the big day! Head on out to Pipe Creek, Texas for Ren Faire of Bandera County, a themed Marketplace from 10 am - 6 pm. AMTGard will be joining us. Stop by their canopy and check them out! Children's Archery will be available in the center activities clearing with Loka Tribal Belly Dancers and local talent Josh Peek in the entertainment area. We will have picnic tables and chairs in that area so you can enjoy your meal and be entertained at the same time.

Many may not know this, but our President is 50 years old!! For her birthday this year she is fundraising for the Pipe Creek Volunteer Fire Department. They are a valuable resource to a community that is rather spread out across Bandera County. They work closely with other Volunteer Fire Departments as well as Bandera County Sheriff's Office.

How can you help?

Look for the bubbles by the front entrance at Ren Faire of Bandera County on Saturday. A donation station has been set-up there. ALL donations made to Guilds of Requiem, Inc. will go to Pipe Creek Volunteer Fire Department!
