Hey beautiful souls, 🌟 I’m geeked to share a special piece of my heart with you this Mother’s Day—"Roots to Wings: The Essence of My Motherhood." This mini-film, enriched with spoken word, captures the rhythm and poetry of my journey as a Mommy. I've grown immensely alongside my two little ones, striving to be the best version of myself—for them and importantly, for me.🙌🏽

🎬✨ So grateful and humbled!🥲 I got accepted into the Creative Documentary Filmmaking Fellowship cohort, under the magnificent wings of The Pop District's Warhol Academy!!!! The feeling is beyond indescribable.😩🙌🏽

My mantra for 2023 has been "Be Her Now," and whew, it’s been one hellava journey of growth, challenges, and discovering so much about myself! All these moments I spend stepping outside my comfort zone continue to amplify the power of this mantra.💪🏽

From the early days when I began channeling my passion into Shanell Lamere Films, it felt like I was stepping out on a wide-open path, just going with my heart and seeing where it took me. Now, in this present moment, I stand as a Storyteller—immersed, inspired, and in awe of my own evolution.😮‍💨🌸

Every project, film, and episode of , I’m reminded of the purpose of my journey: to capture the essence of our shared human experience, to uplift, and to create a bridge of understanding through stories.

After hours of piecing together stories, laughter, tears, and moments of pure resilience, I'm beyond excited to finally share the 'Empowering Mothers Montage' with all of you! 😩🙌🏽This project, born from my passions Shanell Lamere Films, and our black women's empowerment podcast, 'What She Grows Through', is a testament to our collective strength, grace, and dopeness of it all.

This visual tapestry is a tribute to motherhood, to being a woman, to being black, and to the power that lies in our stories. Happy International Women's Day!

Today, we celebrate the power, resilience, and strength of women all around the world. As a black woman, I know firsthand the challenges that we face in our personal and professional lives. But I also know the power of personal growth and self-discovery.

Growing up, I didn't always have the tools or resources to navigate the world around me. But through personal growth and self-reflection, I've been able to transform my struggles into strengths. I've learned to embrace my authentic self, to stand up for my values and beliefs, and to use my voice to make a positive impact in my community.

Personal growth is not always easy, but it is always worth it. It's about embracing our strengths and weaknesses, and being willing to do the work to become the best version of ourselves. And as black women, our personal growth is not only empowering for ourselves but also for those around us.

So, on this International Women's Day, let's celebrate the power of personal growth and self-discovery. Let's embrace our unique journeys and support each other along the way. We are strong, we are resilient, and we are capable of achieving amazing things. Happy International Women's Day to all the amazing women out there!🥰🌸✨
