SNL’s MICHAEL LONGFELLOW makes his much anticipated Bottlerocket Debut this summer!!

Want a bit of personal history? I spent my 21st Birthday at a Michael Longfellow show at Rick Bronson's House of Comedy in Scottsdale, Arizona. This was 2 years before he got SNL - just so you know how cool and ahead of the comedy curve I was at 21 years old... Anyway, that turned out to be a great way to spend a 21st Birthday - and Michael's only gotten funnier since then.

His SNL stint has already found some iconic characters (most recently, the Goth Kid on Vacation) - but his best work may still be reserved for the standup stage, with a laid back delivery that belies how sneakily smart his work really is. It's been a long time since that random night in Scottsdale, Arizona - but one thing has remained consistent (and, thanks to SNL, now much more well publicized); Michael Longfellow is really damn funny.

Hey all! If you know Bottlerocket then you know Gracie - who’s been here through thick and thin working on graphics, marketing, and occasional bartending. Really, she does anything we need an extra hand to do.

At her actual real job she’s got to spend the last 6 months organizing a brand new film festival right here in Pittsburgh - - featuring films from Sundance, Tribeca, SXSW and more taking over the Row House screen for 3 nights!

There are tons of Bottlerocket favorites up on the big screen, and a full lineup of incredible filmmaking making their Pittsburgh debuts - if you like film we think you’ll find something to like here.

The festival is ALSO hosting a presentation of BOYS GO TO JUPITER, made by local filmmaker (and friend) Julian Glander and an all star cast of Bottlerocket favs inclined Joe Pera, Chris Fleming, Julio Torres, Sarah Sherman and MORE!! KC SHORNIMA is the newest Weekend Update writer on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, and a Just For Laughs 2022 New Face in Montreal - and they’re headed our way!

We've been lucky enough to have a few SNL cast members our way recently - and almost all of them have gone out of their way to tell me just how funny KC is. So, when the opportunity arrived to finally bring them to town, this offseason, it was a no brainer for all.

April Show(er)s bring… something. I didn’t think it through all the way. The point is we’ve got another full month of shows - including TONS of MUSIC, the most we’ve ever had in one month!

JOE GRUSHECKY is a legend for a reason folks - with a killer live show and a whole catalouge of killer songs to back him up, it’s no surprise he’s built a 40+ year reputation as one of Pittsburgh’s finest musical exports. His songs spring to life onstage in a whole new way, making it crystal clear why he is one the 8 people on earth who’ve ever gotten a songwriting credit with Bruce Springsteen.

The Trib called his last show at Bottlerocket “a force of nature”, and described it as “a combination of Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen” - Celebrate his birthday in style with one of Pittsburgh’s best bands at one if it’s best old school bars, featuring old favorites and stuff deep out of the Houserockers archives.

In the words of that Trib review: “These are quintessential Pittsburgh musicians, and the city is lucky to have them.”
