IT'S A NEW YEAR BABY!

I've officially reached 100 followers just ahead of the "start" of my 2024 season. Thank you to everyone who has supported me thus far. This company and these weddings are my dream, and I couldn't have gotten this far without people taking a chance and believing in me.

This will be my third year in the wedding industry as a solo person in Pittsburgh, 11th overall. I have a lot planned for this year, and I can't wait to take you all with me.

This year has been a lot of firsts for me! I got the honor of officiating AND photographing Isabella and Seth's mini-mony on Mount Washington over the summer.

It was wonderful to get to use my multiple talents for one wedding!

In September, I had the absolute HONOR of not only coordinating but also officiating the wedding of Ellie & Bailey. It meant so much that they trusted me to do both jobs! (And it was my first West Virginia wedding 😉)

Oh and no, I wasn't on a hill, they just towered over me haha

Congrats to these two and I hope you have a lifetime of happiness!

WOW, it's been one year since my first zoo wedding 😍 (And lucky for me, I just recently booked another one for next spring!)

I love the zoo and I LOVED getting to help Michael and Sunny get celebrate their love there!

I've been BUSY these past few weeks. I had 4 back to back weekends of weddings (that I can't wait to share all of the amazing photos with you). June is always naturally a busy time for me with my own anniversary, hubby's birthday, father's day, ect. Thankfully I have the next few weekends off to relax and go on vacation! Thank you to all of my clients for the best time and all of the amazing vendors I get to meet!

I officially kicked off my wedding season today by officiating a ceremony at Rock Falls Park in Slippery Rock! It was a little rainy but it cleared up just in time for our ceremony 🥰

Raelynn and Dan met while in college and were friends before they became a couple. They even moved to North Carolina together (Same as my husband and I!) before moving back to PA.

I get to marry these two at their summer wedding in a few months! I can't wait to hear them say I DO!

Wedding season is in full swing! Last weekend was crazy, next weekend will be crazy (you see the theme), but today I took a break to go to the Pittsburgh Zoo with my family.

The Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium is actually where I did my first wedding last season! (Shout out to Michael and Sunny 😉)

Happy Tuesday!

YAY You’re engaged! Many couples now face the “now what” question. There are two things you need to consider first. Your estimated budget and finding a venue.

The two coincide because you can’t really settle on a date until you talk to venues about their availability. Many venues book out a year or two in advance, so unless a date is super meaningful to you, it’s best not to limit yourself into finding a venue that only works with one date.

If you’re picky about the type of venue you want and having the perfect atmosphere, find a venue first and that way you can have extra time to save up the money if it’s a little more expensive or you know what you have to spend on other vendors if you know the cost of the venue in relation to your total budget.

Happy Tuesday!

I 100% support hiring your friends as vendors (who are already in the industry). I did this at my own wedding for my photographer, florist, and DJ. I went into it though, knowing that I didn’t want to undercut them. They did give me a lower rate because of our relationship, but I went into the situation asking them what they thought was fair, not asking for a low rate.

Your friends deserve to be paid for their good work, and they’re more likely to work harder since they have an emotional investment to you.

Happy Tuesday! Here's a tip to make your big day go from good to great!

Favors that matter- Wedding favors are starting to become more of a rarity, which is okay! Honestly you’re already dropping a lot of money on the day, I don’t think you need to add on an additional gift for each guest, especially one that is engraved with your names and the date.

If you are going to give favors, make them matter. Some examples are cookie grab bags (which is common in Pittsburgh for their cookie tables) or go thrifting for chic vintage mugs that each of your guests can look to find one that they love.

Happy Tuesday! Here's a tip to make your big day the best day!

Cut the Cake- Sooo many of my couples over order on their cake. Bakeries (understandably) give quotes based on your guest count. However you will be surprised by the number of people who won’t eat the cake, especially if you have other dessert options such as a candy bar or the infamous Pittsburgh Cookie Table.

Keep this tip in mind and consider cutting down your cake order by 25%. And keep in mind in the UNLIKELY event that you were to run out, no one is going to bash a wedding for not getting cake.

I feel so lucky every time I get to tell you about a new couple I am working with ❤

Jake and Alex met through a friend (thanks Val 😉) and quickly hit it off over their shared love for the outdoors and adventure. They even got engaged during a 30 mile bike ride in Downtown Pittsburgh!

I can't wait to work with these two as their day of coordinator this Spring to make their big day as fantastic and magical as their love story 🥰🥰🥰

I'm so excited to be working with Ellie and Bailey for my first West Virginia wedding! Not only am I going to be their day of coordinator, I'm also going to officiate their ceremony!

The pair met in grad school and are both avid outdoors people! Bailey even proposed on top of a mountain during a hike ❤🥰
