Fri & Sat - Watsontown Winter Wonderland

Join in the fun at the Watsontown Winter Wonderland located along the picturesque Susquehanna River on Canal Street, in beautiful borough of Watsontown.

Friday, December 6th ---- 4pm-8pm
Saturday, December 7th --- 10am – 7pm
Sunday, December 8th --- 5:30-8pm Caravan of Lights Parade to Santa's House

The Winter Wonderland festival will feature craft vendors, traditional eats and libations, live music, gift card tree raffles & more!

Santa will arrive on Friday at 6pm for the annual tree lighting and be available for visits in his house on Friday and Saturday.

Enjoy face painting, build-a-buddy station and other child-friendly activities that will be taking place throughout the event space.
Enjoy perusing many vendors to fulfill your Christmas shopping needs!

We join The City of Altoona for a "Glow Up" event on Friday, Dec. 6th from 5-7 pm in Heritage Plaza! Glow Up Night is a holiday event in Altoona, Pennsylvania that includes a tree lighting, fireworks, and other festive activities:
When: Friday, December 6, 2024 from 5–7 PM
Where: Heritage Plaza, located at 11th Avenue and 14th Street in downtown Altoona
What: Includes:
Music, singing, and hot cocoa
Christmas tree lighting and fireworks
Petting zoo for kids
Food and merchandise vendors
Altoona Vocal Ensemble
Christmas movies
Downtown businesses with window decorations

Light Up Night 2024 returns on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, with this year’s programming kicking off at 4 p.m.! Festivities will spotlight the City’s unique combination of traditional and contemporary holiday attractions, complemented by excellent live music, including an exciting performance by Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum alt-rock band The Fray, and magical illuminated experiences throughout Downtown. See The Fray perform live at 8:30 p.m. on the Xfinity Riverside Stage! Presented by Q92.9 FM.

The Fray is an American rock band from Denver, Colorado, formed in 2002 by schoolmates Isaac Slade and Joe King. Their debut album, How to Save a Life (2005), propelled them to fame with hits like “Over My Head (Cable Car)” and the title track, which achieved global success. Their second album, The Fray (2009), debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts and earned a Grammy nomination. Known for their piano-driven sound, often compared to Coldplay and Keane, The Fray drew influences from bands like U2 and Counting Crows. Over their career, they released four albums and a greatest hits collection.
