One of my favorite conversations last week was at the end of our showcase when said “I didn’t know music like this existed; what an incredible day.” I proceeded to gush about and introducing me to the world of Americana Music. My grandpa and mom introduced me to Willie, Patsy, Waylon, Shania, Reba, Faith, and many more but as I got older I was turned off to country because, in my words, “bro-country” was what I was surrounded by in high school and college. From then on, I gave every other genre my heart and attention until I met this lady and she reintroduced me to “the right kind of Country music.” Starting with seeing , , , .isaiahevansandthebosstweed in Pittsburgh and then my first trip to Nashville and then our first September Social at Dee’s I quickly fell in love with the artists we now consider family, their stories, the music they write, play, and share. I’m truly in awe of this world I didn’t know existed until 3 years ago thanks to Danielle. It was incredible to watch other people get emotional, experience it for the first time, and share in these moments with us the past week and it was all thanks to you and what we’ve built. You are a magnet, a safe space, and an inspiration for everyone you come into contact with. We haven’t gotten to work together a lot this year with tour schedules so spending a week by your side and watching you kick ass was so missed, needed, and inspiring. Thank you for choosing me as your partner in . Thank you for introducing me to so many genres, artists, and like-minded people. The energy surrounding us last week was something I haven’t felt before. It’s against the world and I’m honored to be in yours
