Here’s a great menu card tip - want the handwritten card but not for every person? Try placing it in the center of each table or posting it to the door for guests to see when they enter.
This little menu card is ready for the fall season and was created to match the artwork on the dinnerware.

If you don't use menu cards, I hope you will start! They might sound old fashioned or formal but they seem more relevant today than ever! They are such a wonderful addition to any celebration and they are really as practical as they are pretty. Keep reading to find out why they are a must for your next gathering.
If you do already use them, let's make sure you are using them properly!
What goes on a menu card?
The menu listed by course and the beverage pairings are the most important part of the menu card. They do also serve as a wonderful memento of a dinner party so be sure to add the date and name of the guest of honor for those sentimental guests who like to keep a souvenir of a special occasion. The name of the guest of honor should be at the top of the card. The date can be at the top or the bottom.
Where do the menu cards go?
There are options for this! I like to display a menu card in my foyer so that my guests can see what is going to be served when we enjoy our meal together. If they see something they cannot eat on the menu, that gives them time to let me know so that I can make accommodations before we sit down.
For some occasions, I place a menu card at each place setting. In this case, the top of each card can be personalized and also serve as the place card. Menu cards can be laid flat to the left of the dinner plate and fork or directly on the dinner plate. They can also be propped up on a place card holder if they are not too large.
