John & Jake

On January 2, 2025 John and Jake wanted to show the world that they love each other. I had the very special honor of capturing their day. John is a friend of my daughter's and I got to watch him as a teenager so when he asked me to take pictures of his special day I said yes without hesitation. John overcame some hardships and I am so proud of the young man he is today. My heart swelled with so much love as I witnessed John and Jake surrounded by friends and family. I had the best time with the wedding party before we arrived at the reception. I arrived a stranger and left feeling like I made some new friends. John and Jake, thank you for having me be a part of your special day. I wish you a lifetime of love ❤

Well tomorrow isn’t looking too good for fall minis. My weather app is showing a 70% chance of rain at 4. At this time I’m thinking it’s best to postpone them. My question is, would Sunday work for everyone (if there is no rain) or we can look at a different weekend?

My husband and I had the chance to sneak down to Tennessee to be there for our daughter getting engaged! She had no clue we were there, her boyfriend (now fiancé!) planned it all. So excited to start wedding planning and officially gain a son in law. Congratulations to the future Mr. & Mrs. Ruge ❤

Hello! First off I want to thank you all for the love during the last few months. Losing my dad has turned my world upside down. I’m slowly getting back to life and adjusting to things. I was thinking about opening up my schedule for some fall minis. Would there be any interest if I did? I don’t really have any certain dates in mind just yet. Let me know if this is something you would be interested in!

This beautiful girl is another cousin's daughter. This girl is the best! She has had a tough go but hasn't given up! She's the one that I can pick on and she gives it right back to me. She's a hard worker and always willing to lend a helping hand. I enjoy spending time with her whether it be our talks or just jamming in the car to some good music while she performs for me. I'm not sure of her future plans but I can be sure that whatever she decides to do will be done with all she has!

My mom and I made a trip to Mississippi so she could spend some time with her sisters. Took advantage of the opportunity and took some senior pictures of my cousin's daughter. Lily is beautiful inside and out. She is set to finish her senior year in December then has plans to continue her education to become a phlebotomist. So excited to see where life takes her!

Just another life update.

My dad passed away on Wednesday July 3rd. He had went back into the hospital with his kidneys failing and his body was just wore out. He was surrounded by all of his family and lots of love.

Things will look a little different for us as we learn to navigate life without the heart of the family with us. I plan to take some time to help ease my mom into this new phase of life as she has to be without my dad for the first time in 53 years. Please keep my family in your prayers as it will be a big adjustment for all of us.

I’ve been a little quiet on this page lately so I thought I would catch up with y’all and give you a little glimpse into my personal life. I’m not using this post to push my beliefs on anyone. Attached is a picture from f me with my dad from my niece’s wedding in May ❤️

Back in May my dad was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver (non alcoholic). He has had a few hospital stays, many test and he goes weekly to get paracentesis to drain fluid of his abdomen. He received a call a few weeks ago that it was time to start talking about a transplant. This call was completely unexpected at the time, we thought with his MELD score we would be at least a year out from a transplant. We were told that this is a long process and we couldn’t even start anything until insurance approval. He called me last Wednesday saying he needed to go to the hospital (his 3rd trip in just over a month). My brother was closer to his location so he got him to the ER and my mom and I met them. He was admitted because his kidney function was borderline failure. He has been at UNMC since last week and we got a call this morning that the evaluation would start. He will have to go through a series of test and then the teams will meet on Wednesday to go over everything to determine if he will be a good candidate for transplant. There are so many things that have to be done before he is even on the list. I come to all my friends asking for prayers, good thoughts, or whatever it is you believe. We as a family believe in and know a powerful God! There is a reason that this is progressing so fast and we trust in him.

Introducing Mr. William "Liam" Raymond Collins! I had the very special honor of doing his big sister's newborn pictures and then I got to help with the pregnancy announcement for his upcoming arrival. I patiently waited for mom and dad to adjust to life with 2 little ones and as soon as mom messaged that they were ready for pictures I was at there house 2 days later! I love the comfort and ease of doing in home, it helped mom and dad with not having to get the kids out, we went at his pace without feeling a time restriction, and big sister was much happier being in her space. I love this little family and I am so excited to watch as they settle into life as a family of 4!
