I have a list of businesses and people to thank for making the Phil Meador Car Show such a success. I honestly had no idea this was going to turn out so well. The credit goes out to these businesses and club members.
First, the sponsors. These are local businesses who took a big chance with me and this idea by investing in Pocatello Car Club and the local car community.
Being the title sponsor for an event requires so much trust. I organized a couple cruises and car shows in a public parking lot and then I was asking for a business to trust me with their company’s money and reputation. April at Phil Meador Automotive Group really went out on a limb and made a huge investment with me and Pocatello Car Club. I am so happy we were able to deliver. April was so kind to do this for me and for all of us. The money they put up for the awards raised this show to a level that brought in the nicer vehicles. The nicer vehicles brought in the bigger crowds and it all snowballed into a very successful show. This was more than business to me, this was asking for trust and it was met with kindness. Please let the managers at the Phil Meador dealerships in town know we appreciate their kindness and generosity. Thank you April.
DL Evans Bank is a local Idaho bank that was founded in Albion, Idaho in 1904. Ken, the branch manager on Yellowstone across from Black Rock is a car guy himself. I shared with him my vision of putting a car show in the mall and he was willing to take the chance. If you enjoyed the event, I think it would be fitting if the next time you're shopping for a bank, stop in and visit with Ken. Thank you Ken.
Jeff and Lewis, the owners of the new business Cold Lead and I thought the car community would be interested in learning about their new business. I spent some time there and I personally really like their idea about putting in an airsoft battle arena. At one time I was planning on doing something similar. Here’s an article the Journal did about Cold Lea
