At Miranda’s Events, we prioritize clarity and professionalism. To set expectations, here are services we do not offer:

Venue Fees: We do not cover your hall fees unless explicitly stated. Our venue partnerships are exclusively with Casa Di Miranda and Great Bear Golf Club.

Table Decorations: We do not arrange or place your personal decorations, except for favors, to avoid any liability for client-provided items.

DIY-Friendly Packages: Our simpler packages, which do not include all the bells and whistles, offer clients the flexibility to manage certain aspects themselves. This ensures affordability while giving you the freedom to create your unique touch.

Remember, if it’s not in the contract, it doesn’t exist. Clear communication and mutual understanding are key to a successful event!

A Moment of Reflection on Community and Support

I had a conversation yesterday that led me to reflect deeply on something important. People are complex, and at times, it feels like some of us never fully leave behind the mindset of our younger years. Too often, I see unnecessary drama—drama that resembles the kind of pettiness we should’ve left behind in elementary school. Whether it's sticking with certain cliques or feeding into negativity, it's disheartening to witness.

What truly puzzles me is how events meant to make a difference, like the Breast Cancer Awareness Event hosted today struggled to gain attention. Meanwhile, a bingo night or Halloween, dance party sells out instantly. Don’t get me wrong—these lighter events have their place, but showing up for causes with real meaning is equally, if not more, important.

This is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time when people across the country come together to support those fighting this battle. Yet, they are seeing far less support than I expected, with only 25 showing interest. Events like this one should be a priority, especially since you never know who in our community is currently suffering or may need the help.

Let me clarify something: I do not host events for just one group of people. My events are open to all, without any political or racial bias. Just because an event takes place at my venue doesn’t mean it’s my personal event, the event is hosted by The Vegan Snob So, if you have an issue with me, don’t let that stop you from supporting someone else’s good cause. You may be blocking your own blessing by holding onto such limited thinking.

People don’t discriminate when they’re seeking donations for worthy causes around this time of year. Elementary school was over for most of us over 30 years ago—it’s time to leave the drama and small-mindedness behind. Support something meaningful, something that can truly make a difference. Breast cancer awareness is a cause that affects everyone.

And, for those who feel offended by what I’ve posted on my private page—kindly moonwalk out if you don’t like it. I had to speak on what’s been weighing heavily on my heart, and I refuse to sugarcoat the truth.

In our local area, breast cancer affects women across all demographics. Nationwide, white women have a slightly higher incidence rate of breast cancer compared to Black women overall, but Black women under the age of 45 are more likely to develop and die from the disease. This disparity highlights the importance of support, awareness, and access to care in all communities.

As we commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month, this is the perfect opportunity to come together and make a difference. We are aiming for a sold-out event to ensure we raise as much support as possible. As a growing event production company, it’s essential that I align myself with like-minded, flexible professionals. Recently, I found myself in need of a replacement balloon vendor when my preferred one wasn't available. I reached out to a few potential vendors—some were fully booked, and one explained that they require a 30-day notice to order balloons.

While I respect everyone’s process, in my world, I’m often asked to manage last-minute events. I thrive in these high-pressure situations and do my best to accommodate clients, especially returning ones or those who may become frequent clients. Flexibility is key in this business, and a rigid 30- or 40-day advance policy simply doesn’t work for me.

I believe in being ready when opportunity knocks, and it’s important to avoid burning bridges with a mindset that limits growth. As an event professional, it’s crucial to think big and remain adaptable. One roadblock shouldn’t stop the show. Let’s always be ready to rise to the occasion.
