The Lafayette Grande Banquet Facility is located in the Downtown Pontiac Entertainment District in a historical landmark. Built in 1923 as the Masonic Temple Lodge No. 21 by European artisans and tradesman to resemble fine Royal Palaces from centuries ago. Traveling Chef Catering bought this neglected building from the City of Pontiac in 1997. The intricate craftsmanship of fine details has been r

Since 1977, Traveling Chef Catering has provided quality off-premise catering for a variety of events, both private and corporate in the Detroit Metro Area. We are one of the few caterers around who offers such an unlimited menu based on ideas and experiences from around the country. We are always generating new ideas, themes, and menus to make your party the topic of conversation for weeks, months and years to follow. Every ballroom is unique and charismatic. The Lafayette Room will accommodate up to 200 guests. The elegant Grande Ballroom will accommodate up to 500 guests. The Crystal Ballroom will not only accommodate 350 guests, but will also take you back to days of the "Roaring Twenties!" With a "Speak Easy" atmosphere our Martini Lounge will accommodate parties of 50 or more. The newest addition to the Lafayette Grande is the Wine Cellar, accommodates 100 or more guests. At the Lafayette Grande Banquet Facility, we take pleasure in providing delicious, fresh, quality food at a reasonable per person price! We believe the cooked from scratch old fashion way, is the best way! Even the salad dressings are made fresh! Our produce and meats are bought weekly from the Eastern Market in Detroit. We are blessed, grateful & thankful that we were able to cater at Amazon and provide a Thanksgiving meal for their employees again! 🦃 We admire seeing how Amazon truly cares and appreciates their employees. ❤️ With us being a family owned and operated business it’s something we value as well ❤️

We would like to thank all the men and women who have served our country for our freedom. We thank all the veterans and all the active service members for everything that you do for us! 🇺🇸

Here at the Lafayette Grande we always are honored when we are able to host a wedding for an active service member or a veteran. We thank them for their service by upgrading their bar package to a Premium Bar at no extra charge. It’s just a small way of saying thank you for your service! ❤️
