Mel’s Blossoms was founded in April 2018. It came to be by divine intervention. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I, a single mother of 3 children would be able to start and run my own business. How I got here is a miracle all in and of itself. All I know is I have a passion for helping people and making beautiful arrangements to celebrate the happy times, as well as to mourn the sad times. I worked at Portage Flower Shop for four years, my kids grew up there, as much as I loved that place it was just not in the cards for me to keep it. Believe me, I tried. So now I start fresh in my own little corner of town because I love the people of Portage and I love what I do, and I am not done yet. If your looking for a personal gift for a loved one I urge you to stop in. Special orders don’t upset me, I live for them! At Mel’s Blossoms you will always get the freshest flowers and find very special gifts that are curated by me personally. Mel’s Blossoms is conveniently located in the Willowcreek Plaza next to the BMV.
