Wedding Weekend Alert ⚠

Laura and Julia have science to thank for bringing them together. Both emergency physicians in Philadelphia, they received their COVID vaccines in December 2020, which allowed them to have their first date in January 2021. A year and a half later, they got engaged at the brewery where they had their first date. When they toured Diamond Cove last summer, they quickly knew it was the perfect place to say “I do.” They can’t wait to share the ocean views and relaxed vibe with their guests.

Kristen and Hunter connected in September 2018 by chance. After their first date, they hit it off and spent the rest of the year exploring new friendships & new places all while falling in love. They bonded over traveling, hobbies, and, quality time while quarantined together. In 2021, Hunter proposed at The Portland Headlight in, which was one of the first places they visited in Maine together. They are very excited to get married in a few short days at Diamond Cove!

Our Story

Diamond's Edge Restaurant is nestled near the waters of Casco Bay on the shores of Great Diamond Island, rich in history and natural beauty. Visitors can make the quick jaunt via ferry, water taxi, or private boat to explore this off-the-beaten-path island treasure, once the site of a renowned artists' retreat and later home to Fort McKinley. Among the army structures that have been restored is the former Quartermaster's storehouse, which today serves as the setting for our upscale restaurant overlooking Diamond Cove — affectionately dubbed “Cocktail Cove” by the locals.
