One week until Powell Festival!
Please be aware the Splash Pad at Village Green Park will be closed for Powell Festival set up and tear down the following days:
Thursday, June 20
Friday, June 21 (Splash Pad will open at 5:00pm)
Sunday, June 23
Monday, June 24
The Splash Pad will be open during Powell Festival.
The Splash Pad will open for regular hours (9:00am - 9:00pm) on Tuesday, June 25.
As large equipment and machinery are loaded into Village Green Park in and around the Splash Pad, it is essential to prioritize the safety of the public by closing the area.

New to Powell Festival this year - The Oval Sponsored by Good News Church
The Oval will feature large tents with tables and chairs to rest, enjoy food and connect with friends. Lots of opportunities to play including yard games, cards and board games and activities for your kids. There is also a sensory tent dedicated as respite for families with special needs.

FREE POWELL FESTIVAL PARKING!
Thanks to our partners, Olentangy Local School District and Delaware County Transit, free shuttles will be available from Liberty High School staff parking (3584 Home Road) to the festival!

Vendor applications are now available for the 27th Annual Powell Festival! This year, the festival takes place Fri., June 21 and Sat., June 22.

If you’re interested in participating this year, be sure to submit your application! We’ll be accepting and reviewing submissions on a monthly basis, with a deadline of May 20.

The Delaware Public Health District is informing residents that a community mosquito trap has tested positive for West Nile virus within the City of Powell Local Government.

No human cases have been reported, and DPHD wants to keep you healthy during the Powell Festival! Health District staff will be in the vendor area distributing repellent wipes and screen mending kits.

Additional mosquito safety tips include:
- Wear light-colored, long-sleeved clothing.
- Apply insect repellant that contains one of the following recommended ingredients: Picaridin, DEET, oil of lemon eucalyptus (or PMD), or IR3535; spraying clothes with insect repellent will give extra protection.

A community mosquito trap has tested positive for West Nile virus within the City of Powell Local Government. Due to the Powell Festival taking place this weekend, our registered environmental health specialists will not have the opportunity to fog the area. For this reason, it is very important to take precautions against the bite -- like using an EPA-registered repellent and wearing light, long-sleeve clothing!
